What people in every other free, advanced have realized: that guns have no place in today’s society. What exactly are you wanting?
That is like saying that we shouldn’t have laws against speeding or homicide because they only affect those willing to follow them.and no matter what laws you impose they ONLY affect those willing to follow them.
They have plenty of place. We defend the president with them, banks people do still hunt with them. What people in every other free, advanced have realized: that guns have no place in today’s society.
no, but if you impose laws on things like that ( guns) the only people hurt will be those willing to follow the law. The only thing gun laws do id make it harder for honest folks to protect themselves from criminals or in some rural areas nature. That is like saying that we shouldn’t have laws against speeding or homicide because they only affect those willing to follow them.
Alaska and Louisiana lack tough gun control laws and are #1 and #2 for gun deaths. Most gun deaths are suicides. Most murders are committed by use of firearms. There is a statistical correlation between permissive gun laws and homicide rates.I see where the disconnect is. The rates you are referring to are the number of murders per 100,000 residents. It does not distinguish between gun deaths and any other cause. For 2016 Louisiana had 543 total murders, California had the highest number at 1930. Here is a link to stats for gun deaths by state.
#1 Alaska-19.8/100k #2 Louisiana- 19.3/100k

Yet in the cites with the highest gun violence there are STRICT gun lawsAlaska and Louisiana lack tough gun control laws and are #1 and #2 for gun deaths. Most gun deaths are suicides. One website I remember listed Louisiana as having the least strict gun laws. I found another web site today that lists both Alaska and Louisiana as in the top ten states for not restricting gun ownership:

Connecticut and California have some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation. Connecticut and California and are in a top ten states for the least gun violence list:

"DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!"
Please, enumerate what needs to be done? I don't mean to be smart aleck but I am tired of hearing "Enough with the prayers, politicians do something." Well, they are. The are protecting your rights and my rights in a republic where it is understood that the evil in this is not the gun but the human behind it. But, if that is not enough then please, tell congress and the senate what they need to do right here on this forum where you have an open audience. I, for one, am willing to listen. What common sense gun control measure(s) need to be implemented?I'm not gonna be debating God and his role in the evil of this world or whatever. What I am going to say is something that needs to be said.
We've had yet another school shooting this morning in Texas. We've had yet another wicked, truly evil person walk in freely and murder eight students. If that does not outrage you, you are not human and have no pulse.
The last thing we need to offer are just "thoughts and prayers." Thoughts and prayers are not enough anymore. God hates gun violence. Period. And so should we.
How many school shootings is it going to take for the church to wake up to the fact that there are truly evil people in this world? That Satan has made it clear he is not going to play fair? Does it have to go so far as to seeing their own children murdered? I'm all for the second amendment, but is it worth defending at the cost of these kids lives?
Bottomline, this is all outrageous and disgusting. All of us, liberals, conservatives, Christians, Atheists, whatever! We all need to start sending demands our police and politicians and gun manufacturers, "DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!"
A very legitimate argument can be made those who support the insane American gun culture have blood on their hands.and be armed if the government will not.
If that does not outrage you, you are not human and have no pulse.
I believe the media should not give so much coverage to shooters. There should be NO gun free zones ( except maybe jails/prisons and mental hospitals but no places opened to the public..Please, enumerate what needs to be done? Let me asks you this. If you were a criminal and meant harm would you rather go to a place where people were more likely to be able to defend themselves or less likely?A very legitimate argument can be made those who support the insane American gun culture have blood on their hands.
To not enact striter gun control is about the dumbest thing imaginable.
Ok l fine. Let bank guards abd the secrest service have guns. They have plenty of place. We defend the president with them, banks people do still hunt with them.
Gun culture is different than guns. I can have ten loaded guns in my house, but if they stay in my house and I do not take any action upon them with VERY few exceptions they will not do a darn thing. It would seem then that we would need to work on the CULTURE than banning guns.Ok l fine. Let bank guards abd the secrest service have guns.
Per my last post, gun culture in the USA is almost the very definition of insanity.

Well, in a way you are both right. God hates violence, but realizes that in a fallen world that is sometimes what it takes to bring peace. How do you know God hates gun violence?
God used gun violence to free this country from Britain.
God used gun violence to free Europe from Hitler, and bigger gun violence from battleships to keep your grandparents and parents(s) free from having to speak Japanese from birth on American west coast.
What else? You cannot say God hates gun violence. Be honest and say YOU hate gun violence and stop lying in the Name of God.
