Actually, not a bad 'guess', but that is working and did work in Israel. Maybe some other countries also. But they have less of a drug problem I think also, so that helped.

We all do, but it is not the gun. A gun a knife a pencil it does not not matter if used in a particular way anything can become a weapon and with VERY few exceptions if a gun is not acted upon just like anything else it will do not harm.

Jesus didn't tell us to rely on the government to solve the problem of sin. He tells us how to do it on a personal level, starting with accepting his gift of life to us, and then letting Him into our life. That's not something you can force onto other people though. It's something they have to choose. Or they can choose a more violent path. It's up to them.

I have no solutions to offer only more questions. Has any one watched the movie "Idiocracy"? It is a future in which the idiots reproduce faster than normal people. Kind of like what is happening right now. In a democracy it is bad for the majority to be idiots. So in this future, "common sense" will be a rare commodity. Kind of like right now. So back to the subject.
I propose that every one will agree that a bomb or gun is the fastest way to kill the most people; the first choice of the homicidal maniac. So what to do about the bombs, guns and homicidal maniacs? I pray that we can elect smarter people than us to solve these problems; not always a sure thing in a democracy.

There will always be something sinful for every generation to face. In the 50s and 60s, it was racial segregation and racial violence. You can't tell me that wasn't sinful.

You missed the point. Every generation will have to face something sinful. For this generation, it's gun violence. I'm not saying quit selling guns. I'm saying quit selling so many of them.
