Sunny days, but a chilly wind, which makes it cool when the sun goes down. It's been necessary to water the plants, as the sun seems to be drying them out.

Yes, the weather is (has been) FINE for drying laundry
and there is the possibility of wilting in the warm sun
so, water well (in the evenings) at ROOT LEVEL
Water, remaining on the leaves after sun-up, can lead to them 'burning'

I thought it was going to rain today, so didn't water the plants last night, but it was dry again, this time with some cloud. Tonight it has turned breezy.

The temperature was certainly in the high 20's (Centigrade) this afternoon
You may remember me writing, re: a storm (vandals) had caused the rose "David" supports (in the front garden)
to lean over and ditto with the bamboo trellis holding Clematis and Honeysuckle (still to-do)
I have been waiting for good weather so, that I could make a START in the gardens
despite my broken-down hernia repair giving-me such 'gyp' (sometimes-painful 'hassle')

So, I had a GOOD afternoon tending to "David"
I am afraid it was necessary to cut-away the damaged stems but, there is plenty remaining (in vgc)
It will 'recover'

Both the Rose and the Trellis
were 'laid down' in different directions, so it strikes me as less-likely due to high wind.....
and much-more likely to-be caused
by some assinine, yet to-mature 'vandals'
Important thing is that they, were not 'destroyed'
and WILL 'stand again' \o/

The plastic tubes into which I placed the bamboo canes
will help the bases 'endure' for longer, than they would when left in contact with the soil
and will receive some protection from the dog's continual watering of-them

I also got rid of that 'Mistletoe' plant that was to-the-right of the rose bush
I used an electric jigsaw to cut it out from it's roots
LOL it might even come-again from the remaining roots

At long-last, I have BEGUN to 'shape-up'
\o/
:D

:amen:
