  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's the weather like where you are? (10)

agreed. it seems that we have a weather pattern setting up with a huge trough of wet stuff through the middle of the country, and different weather for both of the coasts. Don't know exactly what's in store, but it looks like mixed thunder storms for a while. everyone else was rushing to get their lawns cut today.

cool, cloudy, with a few rain showers passing by. seems like we're having one of those "7 year cool Springs" this year.
They are extended periods of cool weather in the 50's and 60's which is great for Spring vegetables and flowers, but can play havoc with corn and beans which need warm and hot weather.

Balmy and dry \o/

I went to play Bingo at the local 'oldies housing-complex'

I paid my £3 (weekly) to our TOMBOLA
based-upon the Lottery Bonus-Ball # every week
The holder of the winning-number, gets the £59 that is paid-in each week
Mary won several times and I won it once (some time-ago)
I now have Mary's numbers as-well :D

I also bought a three card 'book' for, five games @ £3
and I won £17 on the FIRST GAME

:D

90 minutes away from home and a few extra pounds in my pocket
:)

The main game had a prize of £40
but it got shared by three LOL

It's turned warm here. Daytime might have reached 70 F (I think it was low 20s C) and night-time high 50s F. Last night it felt a bit clammy; tonight it is much pleasanter. We had a little rain today, but until then it had been dry for a few days.

I'm glad you had a nice day Handmaid for Jesus; the smell of honeysuckle sounds lovely.

Dry and comfortable temperatures here later today: somewhere in the 60s F I think.

Partly sunny, partly cloudy, mostly hazy. The sun is not real bright or intense, but it is shining through the haze, and is warming. So the A/C is running, drying the air in the house which feels good. Temp?....80ish.
