  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Do all plant seeds survive being in water for months?
I don't know
So, you don't know if all plant seeds could survive in water for several months.....

But you do know that....

there were spaceships if needed.
That's pretty good. ;)

The human imagination is a thing to behold!

I think a better answer would be - for all the seeds unable to survive the deluge, God would have ordered Noah to store on the Ark. But I guess that answer isn't creative enough for some.

But here's yet another obstacle in your way -

After the waters receded, all the topsoil would have been washed away. It would have been replaced with the sedimentary deposits of the flood, including a lot of salt.

So, the next question is -

Can all plant seeds survive and flourish in high salinity sediment?

I don't know, but there were spaceships if needed. Remember, God hovered over the earth in creation week. But, if you prefer a more 'natural idea' maybe we could take some seeds into the ark. After all, the animals needed to be fed, and with the fast growth rates, why, it was a piece of cake. We can even toss some on floating debris if you like.
well if he could send a spaceship then he could have killed all humans except noah's family without endangering the animals.

Well, start with the beginning then. Where did matter come from? Prove to me that from nothing came something. I won't deny a certain degree of evolution (although it is my belief we came from Adam and Eve therefore I find cavemen humorous). But, how we get to where we are isn't the point I want addressed. Where does the universe and everything in it come from? Evidence suggests it has a start so what was it before?
If we came from Adam and Eve fully evolved and knowledgeable with the ability to use bronze and tools and writing and language and everything, where did cavemen come from?

Stevendrake is obviously a very confused person. He does not have the education to be able to judge through scientific reasoning and exhibits the classic traits of born again Christians; Very angry, total belief in the scriptures, total disregard for science, and lastly very little education.

Debating with him is an exercise in futility. No mater what arguments are place forward, they (Creationist born again Christians) will vehemently deny it without logic or reason.

After all can you teach a dog physics:confused:

Big Bang... So an explosion from nothing formed matter eh?

I contest that all did not come from nothing and that the complexity points toward intelligent design. The rest follows suit. You can choose to believe God or absurdities. I don't need proof but the science is interesting. Your blades will dull with time because I will understand you better. I love my God and my fellow man. That would include all of you. In that, I fear for you wether that is offensive to you or not. Furthermore, it is not worth your retort because the fact will remain.
Just out of curiosity, where did your God come from? Who created Him? What existed before Him? Did He appear out of nothing?

and What about the scientist, that found Noah's ark, and if you look it up, scientist will tell you that there was a great flood, around the same time.
and What about the scientist, that found Noah's ark,

And what "scientist" would that be? Do you realize even "reputable" young earth creationist organizations like the Institute for Creation Research and Answers in Genesis do not believe this claim?

It is now quite well established (as discovered by Edwin Hubble in 1929) that the universe is expanding sort of like a lump of dough, whereby every galaxy (like raisins in the dough) is getting further apart from the center and from all the other galaxies ...except this is happening at a speed of many thousands of miles per hour (...in fact, the rate of expansion is increasing). Now, if we "reverse the film" on the expanding universe, and go way back, we would end up with all the matter in the universe located in a small area, which would be the beginning point. Such a "beginning" which expands out to today's universe is compatible with what is presented in the Bible. The Bible starts out by saying, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1). So, there we have a "beginning" to the universe

Satellite pictures taken last summer of Mount Ararat in Turkey may reveal the final resting place of Noah's ark, according to Daniel McGivern, the businessman and Christian activist behind a planned summer 2004 expedition to investigate the site.
"We're telling people we're 98 percent sure," said McGivern, a member of the Hawaii Christian Coalition. "In one image we saw the beams, saw the wood. I'm convinced that the excavation of the object and the results of tests run on any collected samples will prove that it is Noah's ark. "

Since when does "Buisnessman & Christian Activist" imply "Scientist"?
An international team of archaeologists, forensic scientists, geologists, glaciologists, and others is being recruited to investigate the site sometime between July 15 and August 15. of 2005

So what did he find up there, djgreene? Surely the expedition is over by now.
