If you're a Tricare beneficiary you most likely can buy dental through Benefeds.
I've never heard of Benefeds. I'll look that up.

BENEFEDS is the benefits marketplace through which eligible members of the federal civilian workforce and uniformed services shop for, enroll in.

I don't know. There's no option for widow.

Hmm. I don't know all the ins and outs of it. My husband retired from the AF. Several years ago, maybe four, we received info telling us about the Benefeds. It was a very good deal, much, much better than anything we found when actively looking for dental over the years, so we signed up. I suppose anyone eligible would have received the same info. I think it was newly available and the info may have been sent by Tricare. We still get a postcard every year prior to the open enrollment period.

Something bit me on the arm Wednesday evening. I don't know what it was, but felt the sting, like being poked with a needle a couple times. I thought it might have been a sticker at first. I'm thinking either a small wasp or possibly a spider. The bite has gotten real red and itchy and somewhat swollen and hard. I told my husband it didn't kill me so I guess I'm okay. :ant::bee:

I'm very sorry! I sounds awful and scary. I hope it heals quickly or a doctor sees it.

No worries. It'll go away in a week or so. And I'm not much of a doctor-goer. :) I've been stung several times by wasps, once on my hip after one crawled up my pants leg, once on my neck when I passed too close to a nest I didn't see.

Yes, I've been stung, too. Not bad stings though.

It's just an awful catastrophe isn't it? They've been on my mind all day. People had to escape into the ocean to evade fire. :praying:
I don't remember the number of casualties; I think the last count was in the 80s. The first church in Hawaii burned to the ground; it was 200 years old.

THANK YOU, LORD!

Teen falls 70 feet into Grand Canyon

A 13-year-old boy is in stable condition after falling at least 70 feet into the Grand Canyon, the National Park Service said.

This happened on August 8th. I think he is home now!

Lately, instead of feeling like I've gained something during my visits to CF, I seem to be coming away feeling depressed! I've had the new posts feed as the default feed that comes up but sometimes the majority of the posts are politics or are somehow tied to politics, which I try to stay away from. Even just the titles/headlines of the posts are depressing. Today I finally changed my default feed to the forum list, but now feel I might miss some posts that I'd be interested in!

Oh well...

I'm sorry and I understand. I'm afraid to look at politics!

Suggestions: Read devotionals, try new recipes, find humor, I admit that humor is hard to find these days.

It's very sad that so many people make politics the center of their lives to the point that they argue about it, lose family relationships over it, that they let it just basically take over their lives. People weren't always this way. Were they? Maybe they were, but today's technology and social media lets them voice it like they couldn't before. I came to the point some time ago that I avoid politics on TV and online, but it's hard sometimes. Especially when it creeps into areas or conversations where you least expect it!

I do all those things you suggested! ;) I read a lot and get outside when I can. And for humor watch old comedies. But it's nice to get online and talk to people on this forum. I just find it sad that so many folks on a Christian forum seem so interested in debating politics, posting politics, sometimes arguing about politics. It seems such a waste.
