On the Christian radio station there’s a speaker coming to talk about is Christainity on the decline in the US?

My thought: That’s the wrong question! You should think about where YOU are & how YOU are influencing your circles! We are concerned about faithful disciples. Pray for big numbers & do your part, but recognize there will always be those who Christ calls, & it is not ours to control.

But to answer their question more looking at the numbers: No, it is not on the decline; the Christians In Name Only (wolves in sheeps clothing) are now no longer hiding it. I think there are also a lot of people like myself who are undercounted just b/c we're not an official member of a church. (churches report members, for example, & non-members are hard to count) & just b/c you don't go to church doesn't mean you're not religious (although it is being unfaithful to God)

The Bible talks about a falling away in the end times, so I believe Christianity is on the decline. I've witnessed many people I considered strong in the faith leave the past few years. It's really sad. In my opinion, just because they left doesn't mean they never were. I think they are being lured away by the enemy and it can happen to any of us if we are not sober and vigilant like Paul says to be.

I swear, sometimes it feels like work is trying to kill me, and people are just bound and determined to make things as awkward and frustrating as possible. Things have gotten much worse since Covid. People's are becoming harder and harder to deal with.

I'm not sure. I don't believe I could walk away from the trust if I wanted to. It's not love then.

We’ve created a society of comfort where the first tragedy strikes, they think it means it’s not real.

Or a friend who wasn’t serious about it walks away, & they don’t see the point in sticking out then.

Tragedy has always struck. Not getting your way. Having it worse off. There's always people who persevere.

Jesus talks about needing a firm foundation! If your foundation isn’t firm, then you are a seed that will die.

There's a good thread in the Apologetics section why people leave the faith or aren't believers. Most of the reasons are petty. Those w/ a firm foundation have nothing to fear.

Those strong in the faith - what really was their faith in?.........& will they come back w/ time & God's grace?

It’s interesting the Bible talks about a falling away when Christianity was still its infancy. Don’t believe skeptics who say the Apostles believed the world was coming to an end soon & that it didn't is proof it's all made up or they didn't speak truth on everything. They did not believe that.

So I went to my interview today and I think I might be rejected. My heart sank when I noticed that the store I was applying at was closed Sundays. :( Anyway, I went to get a haircut when I came back, and the entire time I was in the chair there was a fly buzzing around me. You know how hard it is to sit still in a hairdresser chair with a fly around?

It's all over the place. Jesus talking about the 10 virgins and how the bridegroom would be delayed. Or Peter saying people will say, "where is the promise of His coming?" Like it's been so long and He still hasn't returned, so it must not be happening. Great observation dragon!

Good afternoon all

Sir Riley, how goes the battle against the demons causing havoc among the human race? I seem to not have my hands too full keeping them at bay over on my side of the world lately, thankfully. ^-^

I think my ribs are starting to feel a little better. Been sleeping on only one side these few days. I don't really like it.. but I think it gives me more concentrated sleep.

I found out today that the person who play Norman Peterson on Cheers is related to a guy who took a famous secret photograph of a woman being electrocuted in the electric chair in death row. It was considered one of the biggest tabloid photos of the 1930s. I remember seeing this photo as a kid.

What.. what a strange relation... Lol.

Apparently, dog owners in Turin must walk their furry friends three times per day or face a 500-lira fine. :|

What's the minimum count for a walk?

I remember as a kid I tried to walk my cat outside with a leash.. she looked so embarrassed and fought every step of the way out of the door.. I felt bad for her and decided not too.

A dog doesn't have any self-respect but apparently (at least my cat) does.
