You alright?

Do you need to talk about it? I am all ears!

Thank you. So today I went to go make my plasma donation and drop off my glasses at Walmart's vision center to get the lenses updated after my exam two days ago. As I'm leaving the house, I notice my appointment is for a later time than I thought it was, so I decide to stop at Walmart first and then go to the plasma clinic. I stopped at the pizza place across from Walmart for lunch, but just as I am about to place my order, I notice my wallet is nowhere to be found. Obviously, it scared the heck out of me. I frantically re-traced my steps back to the stop where I found it had fortunately fallen from my pocket after I got off the bus and I hadn't left it on there.

So then I went back to the pizza place and placed my order. Knowing that restaurant is rather slow, went across to Walmart so they can take my glasses and put new lenses in. Even that took far longer than I wanted, but at least by the time I finally got out of there, my pizza was ready. I ate it quickly and then returned to the bus stop to head to the plasma clinic. But there are no posted times to know when the next bus goes, so after waiting around for a bit, I decided I would just give up and walk to the clinic. Not two minutes after I started walking, guess what went right past me but the bus.

Eventually though, I did make it to the clinic. But by then, I was so horribly late for the original appointment that they had to book a new time for me, and then required more waiting around. Eventually, I made it in. But even after all that, my body did not cooperate and I wasn't able to do the full 896 ml. donation, which means I now can't go back there for another two months. That's certainly not unheard for me, but after going through everything else I did today, it was the last thing I wanted to have happen. :puff:

Woo, I'm seriously happy you found your wallet!

I'm so sorry your day was a rollercoaster. It's seems like your patience and strength went through a mighty testing, but you know what's awesome? You didn't throw in the towel. I see major resilience and strength within your actions today. Losing your wallet could've easily triggered a total freakout, but nope, you held it together enough and managed to find your wallet. And those glasses taking forever? You could've been like, 'Pizza's a lost cause.' but you hung in there, got your pizza game on. That bus breezing past you? You could've thought, 'Today's a total write-off, nothings going right!' and called it quits, but instead, you hoofed it, waited even more, and still rocked that plasma donation. Maybe it wasn't a record amount, but it's more than what many folks, including myself, did today.

Seriously, you had every chance to let the day win, but you showed it who's boss. So, I'm proud of you. I know today was a total grind, but you handled it like an absolute champ!

I've suffered from night terrors since I was a child. I had an odd one last night that made me remember a situation in the past. I can't help but wonder, how much of what I remember is real and how much is just dream fragments? It's been on my mind since 5am.
It seems to me i started a thread ages ago on night terrors. It might be worthy to start a new one with descriptios. I too have them and am always wondering, why?

I always perceived my night terrors as nothing beyond the workings of my mind. Perhaps you should open another thread though! It would be a good idea to explore Bella's insights on this matter as well. She shared a wealth of knowledge about spiritual attacks that truly broadened my perspective. This information could potentially bring value to your own situation too.

Men are odd creatures. I wish we could ask some very blunt questions here about the opposite sex, but I have a feeling it would be deemed too...blunt.

Fire away. If people are too thin-skinned to reply courteously then they can ignore it and move on.

I don't know; Miss Geek's got me intrigued by a morbid kind of curiosity when she says she wishes she could ask us guys some blunt questions.
^-^

I am tired of fighting; I just want someone to fight for me for once. Yes, my situation and life may not be ideal, but I deserve love, too.
I saw this yesterday, and I wanted to give you words of encouragement, but I didn't know the right thing to say. But I re-read it again just now looking for the right words and The Armor of God came to my mind, so I wanted to post this for you.

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

It's just one of those instances where you wish you could just be horribly, awfully, utterly BLUNT about things that many people would blush over. But you really just have a genuine desire to understand and learn and get clarity.
