The calm in the storm, huh? Sounds like my type, really. ^-^

I said Jane in the past for a reason. It wasn't haphazard. I heard you. And that's the woman you need.

First it was "princess", then it was "peace". What shall the next name meaning be for the third great love of my life who I hope to one day appear? ^-^

She'll be a culmination of the two and the third quality that's lacking. Each situation is a lesson in itself. You need a cheerleader. She'll bring out the best because she believes in you. She needs your softness in return. She couldn't handle heavy handedness. It would wound her. You're the perfect fit.

I guess you're right. I am still going through Pride and Prejudice despite starting months ago, by the way. In fact I am not even a fifth of the way through. It's not that I am finding it difficult to keep reading in any way. I like it, but, it's only reserved for downtime periods at work, and even then on certain shifts. In fact, if anything, I would say that the flowery and old-timey way of speaking in the book attracts and compels me to keep reading rather than finding it a slog to go through and thus easily losing interest. ^-^

I hope to be so.

It had just right amount of feminine sassiness to it, too. You know, to where it's cute and makes you cheer for them and their goals, rather than be off-putting and makes you disgusted or annoyed.

What movie was this? I know what you mean. I’m no Katniss. :D

You’ll finish it when you’re ready and understand the reference. You already do to some degree.

Why To Enjoy Being single (if you have the gift or are just have to enjoy it for now)

Pressure of the system (far more intense pain & anxiety in times of hardness)
Problems of the flesh (the conflict & difficulty that can result from 2 sinners living so pressed together)
Passing of the world (marriage not part of eternity)
Preoccupuation of the marriage (emphasis for singles can be on spiritual)
Permanence of the union (can’t change it outside of continual unfaithfulness & unbeliever)

What movie was this?

The fifth Scream film.

Sorry, I know horror movies - even low-key satirical ones like this - would not be your thing. ^_^ Again, it wasn't their ability to physically fight that reminded me of you; as you say, you are no Katniss. :) But it was just their being veteran survivors of hardships - physical and mental/emotional - and determined personalities (while still soft and kind at heart where it matters most) that made me think of you.

The fifth Scream film.

I saw the first one. I stopped watching them after my deliverance. And the paranormal stuff too.

But it was just their being veteran survivors of hardships - physical and mental/emotional - and determined personalities (while still soft and kind at heart where it matters most) that made me think of you.

That’s what I assumed. :)

Something I had to learn the hard way was negativity doesn't help. While it certainly does makes me feel superior to others, it still keeps me miserable. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, Ephesians 4:26-27, John 11:35 taught me that crying into a pillow is certainly much healthier than ranting on the forums like I used to do, don't you agree?
It's good to see you doing so well, Rene. :) I had to go through the exact same thing myself in the past year. I thought that venting about your problems was supposed to make you feel better, but it actually made me feel worse. I was never more miserable than when I ranted about all my troubles online, which caused even more problems and made me look foolish at the same time. Better to ignore or report troublesome posts than to snap back at them.

My headphones appear to be going out; whenever I listen to anything with them it sounds weird. They're over 11 years old so I guess it was about time. I have never had a pair last so long before! All the headphones I had before probably lasted one year at the most.

Truth. Journaling[1][2] and talk therapy while home alone did me much better than seeking enablement online (Eph. 4:26-27, Matt. 6:5-15, 1 Pet. 5:5-7, Prov. 16:25).[2] Forgiveness is key (Col. 3:13, Eph. 4:25-32, Matt. 6:14-15, 18:21-35), even as a process (Jude 1:5).[1][1][2][3]

I strongly recommend these videos by The Fuel Project, as they were major reality checks for me:

Video Description: A video series explaining the victim mindset, how and why it's addictive, and how destructive it truly is. My life is my testimony, as you all witnessed before:

  1. Forty years after leaving Egypt, with thousand of others for support, under the guidance of a man of God is plenty of time and support to forgive and trust in God.
  2. Proverbs 16:25; Biblical version of, "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions."
