Thank you. There is actually alot I can draw inspiration from.

In epic tales there’s always a point when the hero’s tested. He’ll have an opportunity to abandon the course, compromise, or switch teams. We confront the same in our walk with God.

It’s satan’s responsibility to stop you by any means necessary. He’ll use you, your connections, your work, the things you love, fears and insecurities, and so on. If he can’t make you renounce your faith he’ll make you ineffective.

The most important decision you’ll make besides choosing God is the person you marry. They can be a blessing or an albatross. When the spirit’s in the drivers seat you look beyond the obvious. You don’t camouflage imperfections and concerns. You count the cost of your decision and weigh it accordingly.

When you understand the gravity of her presence and impact you’ll be less inclined to allow emotion to have control. She can be the architect of your ascent or demise. That’s a bitter pill to swallow if she’s the latter.

That packs a punch. But I needed it.

Actually I don't want to accept less. What am I saying about myself and and the need for companionship? I am saying the same things you are. I just didn't realise or acknowledge, how desperate and messed up it realy is. Not until now.

I know you didn’t. But its time for something real. Beyond fantasy. You need more. That isn’t possible if you’re stuck.

Point taken. Duly Noted. I already I have made a fool of myself, several times I would say, becauseof how I have been obsessing over mystery woman.

Look what you’ve learned about yourself in the process. Belief is powerful. Imagine if you channeled it elsewhere. To something profitable and edifying. You could go far because your ability to believe is strong.

Point it towards God, your prayer life, health, personal growth and so on. You know where this leads. You’ve done it before.

I should focus on that. To better myself.

You should want to be the best you can because of Him. You should want to do it out of love and respect for yourself. You should want to do it because she needs you and relies on your steadiness. You should want to do it because you can’t minister to others if you’re a wreck. Your stance affects many.

I have put her on a pedestal and to me she seems unattainable and as I write this I think I have been idolizing her to some extent. I should definitely ask forgiveness for this. I have asked forgiveness for idolizing other things, but not this. It just struck me.

You have. And you’ve shortchanged yourself. Look how far you’ve come because someone believed in you and challenged you to go beyond your comfort zone. That’s what you’ve needed.

The Egypt analogy puts things in perspective. I am still in bondage in some ways. I will let it go. I have to. Otherwise I can't move forward.

You’ll be divided. You’ve got one foot out the door. It’s time to step through it.

I have come from the poin't where my crush filled me with hope and optimism to the point where it drags me down. Yes it have weakened me. I have felt broken hearted and crushed in spirit and have prayed The Lord to stay close to me.

You’re experiencing the weight of its maintenance. You’re doing it all and there’s no reciprocity. Continuance requires contortion and mental gymnastics to convince you to stay the course with nothing to go on.

It’s okay to acknowledge your attraction. But you can’t do more without her input. It’s serve and volley. You can’t play both positions. It’s exhausting.

Yes I have had moments of weakness. But I have not gone back to my old ways or old habits nor have I blamed God for my unhappines. I have stayed on course. I have kept reading the Bible and prayed. I have not succumbed to the weakness and I would have in the past.

You’re in a better place now. Praise the Lord for it. Amidst the uncertainty. You’ve stayed the course.

I know if this woman is not the right one. Then there is another woman that is. Just like my other past crushes, in retrospect they were not the right ones for me either and after my crush was over and I gained my reasoning back, things were okay. No matter how this chapter ends, I know it will end well. It's going to be okay.

That’s true. When you reach the point when you know you’ll be okay you’re no longer in scarcity. You’re not riddled with fear or expecting the worst. You’ll exude a different spirit. Then things get interesting.

I will do that. It sounds whole lot more interesting to handle things like this, than I have been handling it so far.

I knew you’d understand. That’s how grit is forged.

I like that. I want to be this kind of man. I will do it.

I know. That’s why I did it.

I just want to say this in particular stood out to me, and that yes, definitely, we should never cast blame upon God for our unhappiness or miseries. I personally believe it is an insult to His goodness and shows mistrust in Him.

Lol I just watched Scream 5 last night as well.

Oh, really? What'd you think? I was pleased, personally. It was sad to see a certain legacy character's death partway, too, but effective, and really had me cheering behind the remaining two when they stepped forward to take care of the killers and avenge him.

Sydney and Gale approaching the house where they know that it's about to go down, and after some encouragement between each other, the scene should have also had Sarah's Knight suddenly hop in beside them from off-camera and raise his sword like, "yeah, I got your backs, ladies! Let's go! (Don't need no gun; this sword will do just fine, thanks)"

Then the final fight would have been even more awesome than it already was.

Well, you know, just like me in the sense that I am just about the complete opposite in 50% of those qualities.

More like: slender build but puny and unfit. Greying hair and average features. Timid, intelligent only in times where it might really be a life saver, too scared of being overbearing to be exacting. A presence about as intimidating as a bowl of shredded wheat. Effeminate, subservient, and maybe confident in some things, but mostly a worrywart.

I have often felt that on tv and such the tall muscular assertive guys are a bit overrated these days! You are just right the way you are, Sarahsknight!!

My headphones appear to be going out; whenever I listen to anything with them it sounds weird. They're over 11 years old so I guess it was about time. I have never had a pair last so long before! All the headphones I had before probably lasted one year at the most.

Oh wow!!! That is a very very long time for headphones to last!!! :O

Thanks, Somber. I feel that way, too, at least overall. Facial hair I still hate and am still determined to eventually get rid of all traces of it, though. I do not wish to look physically beautiful to everyone else, just innocent and youthful, especially in my own eyes, and facial hair works against that to me.

(No offense intended to Bella's tastes as seemingly described in her man from earlier posts, of course.

In one way, I thought it was more intense than previous movies. A few of the scenes (like the hospital scenes) were a bit far-fetched, but overall pretty good. It would appear this movie intended to create new legacy characters. They've already announced the next Scream movie and Sydney might not be in it.

Hey, the hero deserves a retirement after this. I'm all for it.

Yeah, hospital scenes in these things are always unbelievable. I don't think anyone is able to just cut the power that easily in a place as critical to functioning society as a hospital is. And there WILL be more staff around to catch criminals in the act, even at night. I also questioned Amber's strength to be able to tussle with her victims, including Dewey, and still come out on top until the ending, when she looks like she doesn't even weigh 100 pounds.
