  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Sounds about right. Retail is the lowest paying, most stressful, soul sucking-- it's basically just hell on Earth. And then you get used to it :smoke::ahah:

Yeah.. I have so many stories..

Different managers demanding I do conflicting things... and getting yelled at regardless. Working myself very hard and being told I was "lazy" and threatening to fire me unless I started "performing better". Yet they were really sad when I left.. lol..

All the respect to folks who work in retail. I did some when I was younger and hated it. I try to be very nice because people are horrible. People have unreasonable demands and expectations. "No, you can't have a discount because you missed last week's sale. That's not how it works, at all. What's wrong with you?"

Yeah, it was a pretty good day! The library lady even asked me if I would like an application. I guess they are hiring. I think I might enjoy working at a library so I may consider it. ^_^

Right?! I have worked in retail in the past as well and it is such stressful work. Retail workers and customer service people deserve so much more respect than they get!

Yeah, I think it is something I would really enjoy. It's so much fun to look through and organize books and such. At the same time I'm anxious about it since I want to be readily available to help watch my niece and nephew whenever I am needed, but I know I need to live my own life too. :ahem:
