  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The way I understand it, Josephus wrote the Hebrew history for the Roman audience. "The Sibyl" was more well known to them so he was using her to give more credence to Jewish belief.

I got up early and cut out some V-day hearts before my niece woke up, then brought her to the library to look around and then picked up a few Nancy Drew books... felt like a good mystery so looking forward to reading them again. ^_^

I used to work at a big retailer... with as "cops" every day. Even though I was working there and never did anything wrong, I've had cops there accuse me of stealing and one even came close to taking downtown for some unknown reason... lol.

Came to a point where people were getting arrested, and I was too desensitized to even care anymore... lol.

When I was a kid, my sister read the Nancy Drew series. I read a couple but mostly The Hardy Boys, which were similar. The one thing I remember about The Hardy Boys is that every chapter or so they would sit down to eat a "hearty" meal. It was always that description. And I would dream about how good a hearty meal must be! ^_^ I don't know what I thought a hearty meal was, but I knew I wanted one lol.

Oh goodness! I loved descriptions of food and when they would call meals "hearty" in the books! I always imagined them to be the most amazing dishes and wished that I could have such tasty things. ^_^ I didn't read as many of The Hardy Boys as a kid, but from what I remember those were good too!!! :D

Oh yeah... I think that job permanently changed me... in ways that are not good.

Lowest paying job I ever had by a long shot... yet also, the more stressful and demanding one by a longshot too. One reason I'm pro-union.
