There was a little girl riding in her new toy car alongside what I assume was her father as I was pulling up to my apartment after work. She had to hop out of her car and the father help her pull it aside in order to let me through. She seemed happy, and was dressed like a princess of sorts. I assume her outfit and toy car were gifts she was enthusiastic to receive earlier this morning. It was a cute sight to remind me of the intended spirit of the season.

I hope you had a great Christmas despite the cancellation. I've heard of another family this Christmas that had to cancel out and a cousin almost because of a contact but his test came back negative.

I love those kinds of moments! I love the expressiveness of children and their pure joy. It brings back so many memories.

I'm at a crossroads with my church. Things have been really going downhill and myself and my best friend have become completely frustrated. We don't know if we're being called to leave just yet. We helped found that church and love all the people there. We just feel it's become spiritually dead and there's no accountability for the leaders.

I will be praying. I was in the same predicament 7 years ago. I ended up moving though so it was easier for me to say why I was leaving. But I will be praying for revival and something well thank God can do.

It felt partially like a cool March going into spring here. We had frost on the ground this morning. That's the closest that we've had to snow and it's so weird. One guy that is a supervisor of a unit said this is the first time he got to take his full-time off since he's been working with our agency for 7 years. No being on call for snow plowing. I would say this is kind of surreal but I also remember a time in 2009 that it was like this for December. And the only reason I remember those things is because I'm on call for snow plowing.

We've had some really cold winters where we had to turn the water off so the pipes wouldn't freeze. Hasn't been that cold this year. Last week has been fairly warm. No frost in a while and not even snow on the mountains. It's nice that the one guy got his full time off. Someone from my family said the weather this year was proof of global warming. But like you said, you get this kind of December every so often so I don't know. That is probably a difficult job in really cold years.

Who cares if it's weird or not! I shamelessly bought a few toy stuffed animals recently and it made my day! I say let the inner child free, but I'm probably also a bit immature! haha!
