Actually so turned off by seeing rampant profanity in books I read that I just white them out, if they are otherwise good reads. Doing that right now with my current read, actually: Toy Soldiers. (The movie was classic. )

Toy Soldiers was really good. How's the book so far?

Of course. Heaven forbid that you ever have the mind or capacity of a killer lurking within you, Miss Bella.

Heavens no! I couldn't fathom prison. Mercy.

6.5 out of 10.

Which for me is fine, whereas in most other people's sense of the 1-10 that actually seems to border on bad, and may at the most be considered forgettable.

For me, on my 1-10 scale when it comes to rating books, movies, games, etc., a 6.5 for me is like scoring a 76% on a school exam. Almost a C+. So it's satisfactory, at least a lot more on the good side than the bad.

I'm glad. The book is usually better than the movie. I remember reading Misery. She was crazier in the book. Truly nuts. It is was very good.

... Oh .... okay ... there's actually nudity in this film. I know nowadays that we basically have straight up porn scenes mixed in with slasher films, but considering how bloodless and vulgarity-free He Knows You're Alone has been so far, it's kind of a shock.

Typical girl victim gets into the shower scene and all ....



.... and, oh boy, I think this is the scene where the semi-iconic theme to the movie "It's the Night Again" starts playing, and the afore-mentioned shower girl is about to get the ax unawares as she is relaxing and drinking wine to the song.

Really? I hardly ever touched any of Stephen King's books. Especially since I heard about his actually writing out in It ... a very disturbing scene involving the kids after they had defeated the monster in the sewers, let's just say.

But Misery was a really good film. I actually find it hard to fathom that King could write out Annie Wilkes to be even crazier in the book version, as convincingly as Kathy Bates played her in the movie. O_O

After finding her roommate - I think it was the same person who liked to jog and got a crush on Tom Hanks' character - dead at the killer's hand, Amy has finally confronted her stalker and is on the run now, with apparently 30 minutes left in the movie to go. .... How long is this final act chase scene going to last?


... By the way, it just dawned on me that Tom Hanks completely disappeared and I don't think we ever even met Amy's fiance Phil. They just talked about him all the time and how some of her friends were even trying to convince her to break off the wedding and get back with her old boyfriend Marvin.

We do see a lot of Marvin, though. ... In fact when Amy ran to him for protection from the killer chasing her, he's probably about to die.

She's so unhinged in the book you understand how much Kathy nailed it. She became the character. The groupie/fan thing creeps me out. It didn't in the past. Now it does.

I remember when Foursquare was popular. People would stalk your feed to see where you were. You had to check in on your way out.

Posting from restaurants, travel spots, and conferences is a no go. You're giving the public a roadmap. Some people will follow it.

I like to think that I haven't done anything to creep her out, though. ^-^ The most stalker-y thing I did was going outside to sweep once or twice towards the end of my night shift, when she would be coming in in the morning, where I was confident I would run into her and be able to exchange a brief good morning.

Interestingly, while Sinatra seems like he'd be my kind of guy when it comes to the kind of music I would listen to, I actually only know of "Strangers in the Night" and "The Way You Look Tonight" by him.


I dedicated "The Way You Look Tonight" to my fellow lady knight @Multifavs once, actually, when it was jokingly suggested on here that we be matched together. .... I don't think Multifavs was too keen on the idea.
