So I looked at one of my Bible's that has footnotes on what a lot of the names mean, & unfortunately there isn't one for Sarah. I find that interesting b/c she gets her name changed from Sarai. When Abraham gets his name changed, the footnotes express the significance of this by saying what Abraham means. So you'd think there should be a footnote on what Sarah means, but there isn't in this Bible I have.
Interestingly, the footnote for Abraham says it means 'father of many.' In the actual text, Abraham is told Sarai will have her name changed to Sarah & she'll get blessed & be the mother of nations. So maybe Sarah means 'mother of many'? IDK, appears we'd have to do more research into this.
