@bèlla I’m itching for warmer weather. Planning to grow peppers again, perhaps tomatoes, and strawberries too.

received my farm share email. It was so large last time even though it was small. I almost couldn’t keep up with it. :argh:

Ooh! You’re all sorts of domestic. I’m impressed! *pets*

I had multiple pepper plants that yielded so many peppers. Made soup, used it for salads, stir fry.

you know I love to cook!

I’ve been slacking. My appetite is bleh. Missy is bringing dinner. She’s out with her pal.

You can do a lot with peppers. They freeze well. I remember some I had from the wine shop in olive oil and garlic. Really delish!

Man, it sounds these forums used to be an adventure!

It was all very messy: some married and/or left for greener pastures, while others just moved to other subforums. It was the trolls which really killed it off though, one or two of them went a little too far. It put the women off.
Trolls here? I have hard time believing that. This board seems like it attracts people w/ good intentions.

Yeah.. the threads used to go at a lightening pace. You could see a thread on the second page that was only a few hours old at times.

Remember when people would race to the next thread after the split to be the first poster?

That just showed you how outdated the system was. A split every thousand replies was just obscene, especially when you had twenty members at one time making multiple posts a page.

Lol, didn't the man posing as a woman story convince you enough? *They* made all sorts of guys fall for *them*. You can't get more troll than that. I'd never seen the likes - never in all my born. It was obscene.

Alas, I'd live it all again to have Toro back. I've posted on many forums, but there was only one Toro. Unbridled energy, all of the time. I think he was a key component to that big drive.

I loved Swan too, but marrying Toro ended an important era... They are a good couple though, they were never cringey or slushy about it on here. I saw other CF couples get together that made me want to inflict unusual torture on myself just to distract me from the cringe.

It doesn't seem to happen anymore, thank goodness. I'd have to saddle up and leave town if happened now.

@cara-mia This has been an incredible Purim! Yesterday, I defined my seasons and labeled the current one impact. But the nuggets were found in the descriptions.

In season one I devoted myself to aiding the downtrodden and broken. Helping them heal and see the road ahead and walk it.

Now I’m in season two and the theme is impact. I’m shifting gears and lending a hand to works in process and others further ahead.

The first season emphasized emotional aid. There was practical stuff too. But the primary focus was emotional repair. Now, mental toughness and implementation are the priority.

I woke up to this (the picture) today. Just in case I didn’t get the hint!

Two words popped in my mind: cafe society. There was a moment of clarity and knowing. That’s what I want. A modern cafe society of Christian creatives whose communion is the difference. A pooling of talent and lives intersecting for the greater good. From simple Sunday dinners to birthday celebrations and yearly getaways. Mutual support, collaborations, and lots of fun.

It’s personal and that’s the difference. We’re invested in one another and the things we accomplish together. We’re a community in the truest sense. More like family. With everything taking place having a network of trusted friends is a must. We’ll need each other. :)

Co-worker in my department moving on.

One thing that scares me about moving on from my position: I don't want to get into a position I don't like, or is too stressful or overwhelming, & have that hinder in a negative way my ability to get into a relationship & maintain it. I'm not stressed at my current job. I don't want the stress of a partner & a job both. I feel like my current job, I could take on the stress additions from a partner. TBH, that's one of the main reasons I stay where I'm at.

If I hadn’t talked to D he would have been perfect. Someone along those lines. We don’t need a headache.

D could have been but alas not quite right. Someone along those lines though, yes. Must check off all the boxes.

That picture is SPOT on. 100%

Cafe Society. That sounds deliciously perfect.
Camaraderie. Togetherness. Uplifting. Spiritual. Fun.

We will ALWAYS have each other. :purpleheart::heart: A network of trusted friends is definitely a must although at times hard to come by.

Yeah.. I also remember almost always losing those races.

I remember when a thread would split within a couple of days.. even a single day sometimes.

Someone well mannered, mature, masculine and a leader. Not overly religious and outgoing. And seriously chill. We won’t live it down if he isn’t.

That’s the vibe. They’re the ones you’ll want to hangout with. You’ll have greater intimacy and sharing. You can go deep because they’re part of your lives. It isn’t shallow.

I think that’s the direction I’m heading in. Everything is taking shape. I believe He’s building it. :)
