Are these trolls the ones who prompted that pinned sexual harassment post? I was kinda surprised they had to put up something like that. Though I have seen several mentions of kooks and trolls who scared away the women. Is that why so few women seem to post in this particular forum? Should I be worried? lol

No, you're perfectly safe now. This was before 2015 when the security here wasn't the best. They used software from the early 2000s to host the website - which inevitably opened the door to all sorts of problems.

If you receive a questionable DM from a guy now, the best thing you could do is post it publicly. That'll stop them.

It's a different place now. There's still some sock puppet accounts wafting about, but they're mainly used in other forums to create the illusion that a member has support for an argument when they actually haven't. (Opinions are THAT important apparently.)

They don't fool me. I have no categorical proof, but I can always tell.

The name began with an S... But I can't quite remember it. Oh, boy that was just dreadful. That's the one time when I wish the ground would just come along and swallow me up.

I think it was a bit before my time, I remember Leo sending me that thread when it all came out. Awful lol.

.... Actually, was it Cute Tink you happen to be speaking of? If I recall, he was someone who chose to be identified as a woman, and I did playfully hit on him one day knowing that, like, making fun of guys in a bar who use stock lines on a beautiful woman they'd see sitting at the other end such as "soooooo ... you come here often?"
He (or she) was a pretty cool person, I think. Had a few interactions with Cute Tink over the time he was here, but I don't suppose I have seen him since 2017 or even 16.

Singles seems to be in a bit of a hollow nowadays. I don't think people notice this subforum anymore. It was the CF lynch pin for years. People used to lie about their marital status just so that they could post here. The threads were legendary at a certain point.

No.. it wasn't Cute Tink. This person never identified as trans, was just a man who pretended to be a woman on here and get as much attention and adoration as possible. Can't remember how it was exposed.. I think the person themselves finally admitted to it.
