But I ignore dating advice books entirely. Most spend only a chapter or 2 on actually finding a date. The one book I found that was all about finding a date was too secular to be worth checking out from the library.

I agree, as I’m not a big reader. You won’t learn everything from a book, you have to learn through experience. For some people, those books might provide sufficient advice, but for others, they may just lay basic guidelines.

I’m 6’4 so it’s not a huge climb to ten feet, but I think I jump considerably high.

I like throwing the football around a bit, maybe some two-hand touch. Ultimate frisbee is fun and I’ve been wanting to get into frisbee golf. I’m terrible at volleyball and I find baseball dull. I like fast-paced, good cardio.

I’m connected with several authors. I’ve shared the problem of presenting dating advice for Christians when their circumstances aren’t the norm.

That doesn’t discount their voice. But most of their readers aren’t attending Christian colleges or bible schools. It can oversimplify the challenge of dating in different environments.

Few books go through the dating process for men save PUA’s. You’d have to look at older sources or websites like The Art of Manliness or The Art of Charm podcast.

I think the better term is disc golf. You have slightly thicker frisbees of different sizes, just like golfers have different clubs. Instead of a hole, there’s this cage that you throw the frisbee into. The “bars” of the cage are chains, so the frisbee goes through the chains and sits in the goal. You usually start out at a decent distance from the goal, and you just play like you’re golfing, just with discs.

No offense, I don’t like that in a guy. Appreciation? Yes. Adulation is usually a woman’s domain. It’s an outgrowth of respect men respond to.

Most women don’t want men fawning over them. It communicates a different message.

I like watching golf on TV if basketball and football aren’t on. I don’t know how good I would be at it. I’ve been to top golf a few times, and I hit the tee quite a bit, one time sparks actually flew. I also almost launched myself off the platform. I enjoy mini golf. I think I’d enjoy good if I could get the driving part down.

In today’s culture, women who want men to fawn over them usually desire control. She wants to wear the pants. When he leads with his emotions he’s easier to control and wrap around her finger.

If she’s benevolent things may go well. But most have a horror story or ten that says otherwise. So tuck it in.

I’d imagine if it was their first girlfriend, they’d be easily manipulated.

You should learn! Your height would be a good advantage and the short game is more important. If you’re an average driver but good around the greens you’ll do fine.

Going to the range is fine to develop your swing and in cold climates. But playing holes is best. Do twilight rounds. The front nine one day and the back nine the next.

Course management is key. If you get that down you’re halfway there. I love the game. It’s made me cry (with joy). I’ve bid on clubs and tickets at work.

I need a golfer. No one else would accept the course and membership fees without fainting.

That's what I like to think was the case in the ladies I have fawned over with romantic intent, both my present crush and those from my past. That they were benevolent and graciously accepted my fawning without letting it get to their heads in any way or taking advantage of it in any way.

I like to think I gravitate towards the "good" girls, basically. ^-^

Men make two wrong assumptions about the fairer sex:

They assume we’re altruistic. We’re not. If she accepts your suit she’s put you through the paces and subjected you to the same scrutiny from her friends. We’re more selfish than you realize.

They assume we’re innocent. Women can be more cutthroat than men. We’re masters at hiding our emotions. Don’t let her outbursts fool you. If she wanted to keep it under wraps she would. We can be cold-blooded and ruthless. Especially when we’re wronged.
