You should learn! Your height would be a good advantage and the short game is more important. If you’re an average driver but good around the greens you’ll do fine.

Going to the range is fine to develop your swing and in cold climates. But playing holes is best. Do twilight rounds. The front nine one day and the back nine the next.

Course management is key. If you get that down you’re halfway there. I love the game. It’s made me cry (with joy). I’ve bid on clubs and tickets at work.

I need a golfer. No one else would accept the course and membership fees without fainting.

My dad used to be a golfer, so maybe that’s where I got it from. If I could drive it even 200 yards in the correct direction, I’d be satisfied. I work at WalMart, so I can’t really afford a country club membership lol.

In regard to the discussion: I don't mind comradely to some extent, but only after someone has earned my trust and proven to me how valuable I truly am in their eyes. I have no time or patience for game / a chase, especially early on. I'll ditch someone like that no problem no matter how attractive they are externally, and have before; it's the heart that matters to me.

Focus on God as your ultimate Beloved and the work He has for you to do, and He'll bring the right woman into your life at the right time. Although...even with the right woman you have to be careful. Guys may balance the equation, but gals have a tendency to "unbalance" it.

Money is relative. If you tick someone’s box its meaningless. You’re meeting her needs elsewhere. Some won’t touch you without coins but others are more generous. They look for related qualities elsewhere.

They assume we’re altruistic. We’re not. If she accepts your suit she’s put you through the paces and subjected you to the same scrutiny from her friends. We’re more selfish than you realize.

I do think men can be oblivious based on those stereotypical assumptions you mentioned. And if they are like me, they're not looking for ulterior motives. I don't know how many times I have gotten in trouble because I didn't divine the unspoken meaning behind what was being said. I'm just plowing along not realizing that I'm making it worse by not knowing and acting like things are fine, lol. Yeah, it's scary.

I'll definitely try to attend if you do stream again soon.

If I stream myself, it may a game like Portal, Age of Empires or modded Minecraft, which my computer can handle along with the streaming software. If I can get my own game far enough along, I could stream that as well.

This is so true. I don't believe in soulmates, or "The One", or "Mr. Right", or whatever you want to call it. It's too fatalistic. It takes away all human agency and free will. I also don't believe that the reason I'm still single is because God is having me wait, or because I haven't met the right one yet. It's down to me and my shyness/anxiety, and probably also partly down to the modern world making it much harder to find compatible people than it used to be. Even my parents had it much easier when it came to finding a mate, and I believe it used to be even easier 100s of years ago.

Men can be oblivious in either direction. Oblivious that their attentions are completely unwelcome, and also oblivious that their attentions would be welcome. Men do tend to overestimate a woman's interest based on their own interest, and probably vice versa as well. I think it's mostly the part of the woman to make her feelings more obvious to the man, but sometimes they just won't take the hint either way. lol
