Man.. it's hard to believe in less than 10 years I'm going to be in my forties.

When you hit 40 it will be hard to believe how quickly the last 10 years flew by.

*20 years even...

Yup. Time is the most valuable commodity we have yet unlike currency we can't view how much we have available.

It's actually really frustrating that society quantifies as good life as a long life. We never know how much time life we have so I think yes have some common sense and plan for the future, but don't take the present for granted. Tomorrow is promised but not guaranteed.

I like what Marcus Aurelius said: You could leave life right now, let that determine what you do and say and think.

Age doesn't bother me as much now. The common line of thinking is that by reaching 40 or some other milestone that your life is somehow nearer its end when really we should just be grateful we wake up each day and have another day of living.

I'm amazed at just how much information is being put out there...here (cyber space)!

I mean, stuff that would have cost a pretty penny back in the days, when folks kept trade secrets and such, for job security...or whatever.

Well, who knows, people may be even more tight-lipped than ever before, maybe it's just that the game has changed so much, that things are on a wholly other level....Or maybe it's just noticeable to me since I've been outta the loop so often and for so long.

But, this reminds me of something i used to say a lot, "Everything's free"...

Ha ha, my ex would get mad when I said that...because she was all about hustlin to make ends. I guess we just had a different definition of "ends".

Well, really, I guess it has just become more profitable to give up "free" game (valuable information) online (I have what I am learning in Music Theory on Youtube in mind) than to parcel it out to individuals via classrooms and/or private tutoring.

Or maybe, it is just a result of the seeming shift away from Capitalism...or what not...

Just some thoughts that struck me as this dude I'm watching on Youtube always reiterates how he is giving away deep musical knowledge, which I am thankful for!

Oh...I think I see what's going on...teasing...

They tryin ta teez out the funds...

Cause the deeper you go, they're like, "But, you're gonna need to know more about [X], which I highly recommend, and it's on sale!"

The good thing with that is, they got competition, so as long as I keep sifting through the data, I can take a little from here...a little from there...and have somewhat of a whole on the subject.

So, I guess it all comes down to knowing how to search for the material.

Another day of home improvement. I’m starting to feel like a DIY episode and my hands aren’t happy. But on the upside, another piece is done and things are coming together swiftly.

I spent some time poking around for a shoji screen and water fountain. Some of them are awful. But I found a nice one with a subtle sound. I looked at the skincare fridges again and decided to go with a proper mini refrigerator. I’ll have room for store bought and homemade beauty items.

During a down moment I thought about the adage cleanliness is next to godliness. I think there’s some truth in that statement. External adornment can be misleading. Many people dress well but their living environment is unkempt.

Your home says a lot about you. That’s the real you when no one’s looking. Making an effort to have a tidy abode that’s orderly and inviting is a way of honoring God in our surroundings.

We demonstrate our gratitude through wise stewardship. The bible affirms, “one who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much.”

I've made this post before but I am not looking forward to going to work because of that woman.. this week especially since I've decided to stop friendly chatting with her. Not sure if she has gotten the picture.. I do expect this to result in more intense outbursts, and I'm just hoping she settles down or doesn't do anything too crazy.

They write on the board who we're working with.. and yeah of course I'm paired up with her again this Monday. Pretty much been this way for a few months.. only good thing is that the normal manager is coming back and she probably won't have the same power to assign where I am anymore since I don't think she's good friends with this particular manager.

When I was in Bible school, we were taught that when approaching Scripture..."context is king".

It seems to me that, when one approaches the world at large, entertainment value is king.

@MehGuy maybe it’s best to focus on someone worth your time rather than the one vexing your nerves.

I know.. it's just hard because I pretty much spend 40ish hours with her. In a way I interact with her way more than anyone else in my life right now. And this has been true for months.

You can’t control her behavior or unwanted attention. Only its impact. Maybe you need to ramp up your interactions with the opposite sex. Put out some feelers. Flirt a little. Don’t allow her to monopolize your thoughts.

This isn’t your forever job. You’ll be gone soon.

I've done some of that.. that only results in her screaming at me why I treat other women differently than her. There is a part of her I believe is masochistic and likes to fight.

Been feeling like that. Honestly I haven't applied to too many IT jobs. Mostly due to depression and self doubt. I feel like in my life I've flatlined.
