Though very much stressed yet again, I am thankful for the job I was given just over a month ago and that I can sort of relax right now with Fuller House and cry happy tears over just the first episode of the last season...

My least favourite season of the year is here. For the life of me I will never understand why so many people love the summer.

Reasons why summer sucks.

. The heat.

. Increase risk of skin cancer.

. More sun exposure, ages you faster.

. Flies and mosquitoes.

. Increased power use.

. Waking up in the middle of the night with your bed soaked in your own sweat.

. Nothing but pretentious Oscar bait movies coming out.



Why winter is awesome.

. The rain.

. Farmers get to water their crops.

. Feeling closer to God.

. Reenacting the famous pose from The Shawshank Redemption when no one is looking.

. Falling asleep inside a warm, thick, fluffy blanket to the sound of rain falling outside.

. All the big Blockbuster movies coming out.

I don't know about your winter, but we have increased power use, dryer skin, snow on the roads making traffic a nightmare.. ugly dead leafless trees everywhere.. just nothing but pure whiteness..

Seems like we both live on two wrong opposite sides of the globe currently..

Christmas party for my work.. kind of want to stay home.. but too late now.. they got me a hotel and everything.. just I don't know.. I'm going to try to limit my drinking.. I don't want some massive hangover tomorrow.

Well then, here in this quaint and likely 750,000 dollar cabin in the heart of Gatlinburg, TN, the family Christmas festivities have pretty much come to an end. My sister, mother, and two demon =P nephews have left earlier this evening, and while he does not leave for back home until tomorrow, my father chose to retire already for the night. Now alone in non-familial-related peace and a glass of fine Smokey Mountain-crafted red wine , I have the choice of settling down for one of two viable holiday film classics on the tv (one of five big flatscreens; this is a REALLY classy place): The highly quotable, highly played out A Christmas Story, or one I don't think I've seen in several Christmases, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. .... I think I shall go with the latter. =)

Hah hah hah! Great Aunt Bethany in her confused age accidentally wrapped up her housecat as a Christmas present and took it across state lines to her family! And then started reciting the Pledge of Allegiance at dinner when asked to say grace! Hah hah HAH HAH HAH!!!

Yeah.. supposed to snow tomorrow.. being I live an hour from work.. that can double or even triple my time.. hate it.. but nothing I can do.. that's what I get for living in this state.. lol.
