@Multifavs , remember the author of the current set of books you have been so graciously following me along on, Beverly Cleary? How I spoke before starting the first book that she is actually 102 years old now? .... Well, here she is, in case you were wondering, supposedly at just hitting 100. I was curious to see how her appearance has changed since the 50's when she first wrote the books about Henry Huggins and Ramona Quimby. ^-^

Seriously, she may truly be as immortal as Betty White. O_O

One of my neighbors just brought over a couple plates of BBQ he made himself, which was unexpected. Also had the neighbor next door cutting the grass in the front lawn yesterday just to be nice. They've really been going out of their way to show kindness lately, which is pretty cool. Plus, homemade BBQ is always welcome.

One of my neighbors just brought over a couple plates of BBQ he made himself, which was unexpected. Also had the neighbor next door cutting the grass in the front lawn yesterday just to be nice. They've really been going out of their way to show kindness lately, which is pretty cool. Plus, homemade BBQ is always welcome.

What is homemade BBQ? I thought BBQ is cooking food on the BBQ pit or oven. Unless there is an outsource BBQ food delivery?

That's what I meant. Even though you can get it at a restaurant, my neighbor marinated and cooked it himself.

Yea, it is always nice to cook on our own, according to how we like it. But it is a lot of work.

Nowadays, we can order any kind of food through internet or phone and it will be delivered right at our door step.

We have definitely become spoiled with internet and phone-based deliveries, that's for sure. The great thing about making barbecue ourselves is that you can make our own marinades, and choose a higher quality product to cook. It is a lot of work, but it's definitely worth it!

This conversation is making me hungry by the way, lol.

Fellow singles peeps, if I did not mention it before, I will now. The other day one of my coworkers notified me that there is in fact a Chick-Fil-A location right here in this town where I live. For all of my dislike of Houston and my living circumstances there, if there was one thing I knew I would regret about moving away and back to a city as small as Magnolia, is that fine dining outside the home would no longer be available to me ... least of all this:

... And this, too, of course (so @Anthony7 does not take offense =P ), but, well, we can't have everything.

And wouldn't you know it, there has actually been a Chick-Fil-A right there at my college this entire time. Well I mean, not back then when I went to school, because I would have smelled that delicious chicken a mile away no problem at that time .

But, yay, now I have it available to me whenever just down the road from where I live.

I am actually going to Houston to see Mama Knight (and grab a few more belongings I initially left behind when I had moved out) next weekend, so I need to stop by Carrabba's for old times' sake. That wood-fried pepperoni pizza and blackberry sangria for under 20 dollars .... Like a lovely siren call except one that doesn't lead your ship to dash itself upon a rocky harbor and plummet you into a watery grave.

WOMM: Lately I've been working with the Unity game engine. It's had all the features I need, but dealing with bugs, revenue shares, added expenses, etc. has been frustrating. But not too long ago, someone recommended the Godot engine to me, claiming it was worth checking out. At first I dismissed it, mostly because of how long I thought it would take to learn and switch over to.

However, yesterday I did some more research on it, and downloaded the program so I could give it a test drive. I was actually quite impressed. The program is incredibly small (only around 50 megabytes; 151 if you want C# support), doesn't require installation or creating an account on their site, runs externally, is completely free and open source, doesn't force EULA or other license agreements, support multiple scripting languages and doesn't require a cut of your project's revenue once you start making money with it. It's been said that this engine could very well shake up and revolutionize the game development industry, and I can see why. Godot brings A LOT of freedom and opportunities to developers, is very easy to learn (it's quite similar to Unity actually; I picked it up in no time) and supports all modern features most games use today - including high end graphics and I presume physics. I'm going to attempt to port over one of my projects soon.

My predictions for Avengers: Endgame.

Spoiler: Possibly

. It will make a billion dollars in one week.
. It will make 3 billion, overtaking James Cameron's Avatar.
. James Cameron will release a salty statement dismissing superhero movies.
. Captain Marvel will be defeated in her first fight with Thanos, angering some feminists.
. Thor will get the Infinity Gauntlet and use it.
. Hawkeye will be reunited with his family.
. The Guardians will reunite.
. Drax will deal the final blow to Thanos.
. At least one scene in the movie will become a meme.
. Tony Stark will retire.
. Captain America will "die" which then leads to Captain Marvel becoming the new leader of the Avengers, infuriating anti-SJWs around the world. They will release thousands of anti-Brie Larson videos simultaneously, causing YouTube to crash, which will then causes riots in the streets around the world by millions of Kpop fans who can no longer watch their favourite boy/girl bands. There will be millions of dollars in property damage, this becomes the catalyst for a big tech company to create an A.I that will be able to crowd control large crowds. They will unironically call it Ultron, It will ironically stop obey orders and start attacking people. A group of people will break into the tech building and find a prototype time machine. They go back in time and force the Marvel scriptwriters to change the ending of Endgame to one where Captain Marvel doesn't become the leader of the Avengers. If we're lucky, this is the timeline we are in now.
