Dont fix it.... as an artist you're allowed to leave errors in.... it's called "adding character to your creation".... or as Bob Ross would sayIt's funny when all of a sudden you notice a small typo in a story you typed months ago.I fixed it.
the laptop seems cheap but no idea if a 1060 is worth it. maybe you should check the requirements for the games you wanna play on it. i'm sure others will know if it's worth it.
it appears to be a good deal to me but i'm not up to date with computers atm, I just know a few years ago I paid 1k for a desktop that can't even have the newer graphics cards in it like the laptop has.
I had a refurb computer before and it never broke on me but dunno if it is common for them to be less quality or not.
p.s. desktops are better for gaming![]()
That's a tough decision...both sound very awesome.yeah the 1060 bothers me too...ughhhh...im torn whether to invest on pc or just buy a console..
.im leaning toward the switch...gahhh can't make up my mind...

have you looked at reviews for the switch?

You should consider what you're willing to pay for a good computer. I write for a living and was literally buying a new cheap laptop every 1-2 years. I decided to invest in an expensive one, did my research, and the one I have now is amazing and will last many years. If you're just looking for a fun game machine, then that's fine, but if you're looking for something reliable, keep looking. I can share a few suggestions with you if you like.this is the quote i got for a laptop i was eyeing...is the price worth it? It's certified refurb though. Lol or should I wait. Gaaah was gonna use credit. There was a deal for alienware but it was over 1k budget.
This is one of those low end gaming laptops.

The stores that take me the longest to choose what to buy in are toy stores and fabric stores. They just have so much awesome stuff!

The one I have now is a gaming laptop because I do play games, but I needed the speed and space for all the things I do at work too.
It's okay, but it depends what you want out of it.
Never buy alienware. Waste of money and you can build a better desktop for less. Alienware is a Ford with a Ferrari price tag.
Just save for another few months. It truly sucks to spend a lot on a computer only to be unsatisfied with it. If I spend a thousand or more and can't run all current games and new games.in the next year on ultra settings... what's the point?
If you're in the U.S. $1500-2000 Will get you a system that will serve you very well for at least 3 years. 2k for entertainment over 3 years is incredibly good value for money. Some holidays cost that and you'll have something tangible with your PC.
Anyway, really depends what you want. Personally I'd always avoid laptops because they are a pain to fix yourself, have incredibly limited upgrade options, fewer standardised parts, a very small screen and yeah... the list goes on. It's worth saving that bit extra to get something you'll be really happy with.
Consoles are okay but keep in mind the graphics won't compare with PC and unless I'm mistaken, consoles are still capped at 30 FPS which is horrible lol. Stable 60 FPS is really the lowest benchmark to be aimed for today.
If you need help with a build let me know.
P.S. 10xx series GPUs are great and the 1060 is still very good. It's one of the best cards performance wise at that price point with the 1070 jumping in price beyond the performance benefit it gives.
The newer generation of cards will be revealed properly soon with pricing, so that may even be an option or, at the very least, drive the prices of the 10xx series cards down and make the 1080/1080ti viable.
Totally! You know you're a seamstress when you get excited about fabric.both are eye candies, all the colors and sounds and products! and with fabric stores, they have that unique smell lol and diff textures gaaaaah (i used to crossstitch back in the day)
gaaah that's a heavy price tag lol, yeah lol i tried playing Quantum Break on my hp laptop....bad idea...it was so laggy, i mean the graphics chip was just reg intel. I tried optimizing the settings, it was playable but at 30 fps, and graphics set to low. Sooo was like, yups, time to get a legit gaming device/laptop/something. I used to think alienware was good, cause of it's bulkiness and doesn't it have more fans inside to keep the internal heat down? Lol, i broke 2 laptops in the past because of overheat - a panasonic satelite and an hp something.
Well generally speaking laptops are never going to be that good at cooling because there's very little room to employ fans and heat sinks.
A mid tower PC case will have space for 5 or 6 larger fans and be much better for cooling. Consider the tiny fans in a laptop vs 120mm or 140mm fans in a PC case.
Computers aren't cheap but if you buy it right then it'll last. That's the main thing. Personally I prefer to overdo it and it last than half measures and regret it.
If gaming is your main hobby then I'd definitely recommend it. Getting bad FPS is kinda the worst lol.
sounds good, is there a decent < 1K desktop option lol and like for a monitor, can I just use a smart tv or is a comp monitor a whole different thing? lol
For 1k, not really but for 1500 you probably could.
Depends on the TV but you can get a decent 24" monitor for $100-200
