I have a little potty that I follow him around with and then a comfy seat modifier with stairs on his big potty. He definitely understands to hold it… but he just won’t let himself go even on the potty. We’re doing the no pants method so he’s running around bare bottomed most of the day and chugging drinks… but then holds it till he’s crying. I’ve tried sitting him on the potty and making him laugh, having him blow out (we blow bubbles), gently squeezing his tummy, and pouring warm water on him to help start the stream… I got him to go a tiny bit twice today, but mostly he waits for his nap/bedtime when the diaper is back on.
His ABA therapist is supposed to come over tomorrow, so I’m hoping he can provide some additional insight. But I’m very open to other suggestions and success stories!
