good for you! I've definitely been trying to be more comfortable with dressing creatively/femininely since being single. Sometimes I wonder, "why the heck am I bothering?" but the day he moved out, I told myself to wear a cute outfit every time I went out and I've largely held to it. I do it for myself.

Right. You instead would be the quirky but good-hearted side character to the lady lead - perhaps a long-time friend of hers - who may have her own B-story involving a another romantic interest and the audience would end up cheering for her to see that happy end along with or even to a much greater degree than they do for the lead(s). ^-^
