Blu Ray quality is too good. You can see every pore on someone’s skin, every blade of grass. The colors are bright & stand out. It makes real life look dull & off. It’s a fake reality.
I needed Blu Ray for Blu Ray exclusives, but think I’ll stick to DVDs if there’s an option.

Just don't get so close to the TV. They recommend optimal distances vs size of screens and I'm about 6 feet away from my 55 inch screen. The problem with DVD is when you start to get into larger screens you start getting less and less sharp picture as DVD is 480p while Blu-Ray is 1080p. Upscaling can make up some difference for sure. Blu-Ray also offers better contrast with HDR and Dolby Vision and upgraded sound experience for 7 or more channels (Dolby Atmos). You can adjust your picture settings to make it less vibrant and bright. I tend to set my tv on Calibrated dark with some minor adjustments while other sets crank up the intensity and over contrast it.
I have many movies on DVD that aren't anamorphic and when they are on a larger screen they look blurry but anamorphic movies can look about as good as 720p streaming which is what my default streaming is set at although I could go with 1080p but some services don't offer that resolution at all. I've seen 4K on youtube streaming and it looks better but not a huge difference as the compression has it looking about half way I think between 1080 and 4K blu-ray quality. What I'm interested in is 8K. There is no 8K physical media to be had you have to essentially download digital files and copy them or stream it as there is no 8K blu-ray player and likely never to be one made. It would be ideal for 80-120 inch screens I would think.
As for DVD only..... starting to not see that option as much and most Blu-rays are combos with a DVD also so you don't have to choose.

I work slower when it is hotter for sure..... as the hotter it is the quicker you run out of sweat if you are working hard and overheat. Luckily it is in the 80s but very humid today

Same here. Had to make a nice little trip carrying a heavy load from my lab to the shed twenty yards away in the rain this morning, too, in the dark (it was 4 in the morning and most outside lights were suddenly not working). ... Kind of an unpleasant part of the work day but at least it only lasts a minute or two.

It was nice getting up and not having to water my plants today and should cost a lot less in electricity to cool the house.Same here.
