It is considered fashionable now and gets attention for people who are starved for it. (ego)I don't even know why people get tattoos. I think it's to be 'in.' I think it's dumb. If you want a tattoo, fine, I don't care, I won't judge you, it's just a preference for me, & please don't judge me for not getting tattoos, or that you think you're better than me or more confident than me b/c you have them. It's not even b/c the Bible says not to get them, I just don't like them. I like the natural human body with skin. If I want to share my love of something in public for people to see, I'll get a shirt of it. If I want to be reminded of my love for something, I'll look at a picture of it on paper or a screen. I won't plaster it all over my body.
I think there is several problems with drinking among them is escapism that is people drinking because they want to escape from the world and stress etc. Like eating and every other vice it can escalate as the addiction turns into a mess. Some drink because their inner demons want to act up and as a drunk, alcohol can change behavior lowering inhibitions etc.(I suppose I don't mind one small tattoo somewhere, but I would never do it so please don't judge me for that)
Moderate drinking is fine. Getting hammered a couple times a week is overkill. A drink or 2 in the evening is fine. Getting tipsy is fine. I'll go & say getting hammered once in a blue moon is fine. But when it's all you do, that's a problem.
It has become more "cool" to swear now. I've even heard that some idiots claim that more intelligent people swear, I think otherwise as one can use a larger than 4th grade vocabulary to express themselves more completely that F bombing an G damning their way to half their vocabulary in speech. My swearing is rather minimal almost zero now as I stopped decades back but I don't typically say much of others swearing as in the end if they don't find bad habits worthy of quitting then they won't truly quit them for good.I'm tired of all the marijuana billboards.
Excessive swearing bugs me. I hate it when people say 'Jesus' as a swear word. It's like some people can't go 4 sentences w/out dropping a F Bomb. Grow up. It doesn't make you 'cool' b/c you swear.
I've lived through all sorts of fads from bell bottoms to hippie long hair to short shorts and so on. Smoking was a fad and also a vice as nobody who wasn't cool wouldn't smoke back then. The difference with tatoos is that they are somewhat permanent unlike fads that come and I don't think you can easily (and cheaply) get them removed. In time we will have a generation growing up that rebels against their tatooed parents and decides that they are lame perhaps but as long as Christians are seen as those who resist tatooing and for now they are seen as (insert derogatory label here) to the secular public who is into almost everything that pagans were into in the Bible in past times that identified them as such tatoos may stay with us till the book of revelation has Jesus showing up and wiping out those who defy him and morality. What worries me is that so many people consider tattoos a “given” now. Not even a question of whether you’ll get one, but rather of what it will be. They don’t think.
As a great writer once said, in the information age we expected to banish paper, but instead we banished thought.
I didn’t have scary Dreams last night! ^-^ =D![]()
Yes she is from Mermaid Melody! Her name is Seira. ^-^Your avatar looks familiar, @ChocolateVanilla ....
I mean, Second Knightess ChocolateVanilla.View attachment 319437
I had a lot of anime on VHS back from 13 to 20 or so years old, and I had watched them over so many times back then that I remember a good deal of even the previews that came on before each one, especially their OP theme songs. I would wager that this character in your avatar was the star of one of them, something called Mermaid Melody or something like that.
