Experienced a lot of anger today... a level of anger I haven't had for a while now.

I think I did alright not expressing it.. still now I feel somewhat kind of sad about it.

You’ve made a lot of strides in that area. An off day isn’t the end of the world. Your response is a telling example of the shift. Cut yourself some slack.

So, the first thing I want to say is that you're in luck. The more weight you need to lose, the easier it is. It'll take a while, sure, but once you know how it actually works you'll be shocked at how easy it really is. The more I know the better I'll be able to help you, so if you want to talk about this on the forum or in private messages either is fine with me. How much weight do you need to lose? Do you know your BMI?

I'm not going to get specific until I know a little more, but I want to help you understand the situation more clearly. Eating healthy and exercising have basically nothing to do with losing weight. And when we say losing weight, what we really mean is forcing your body to use up excess fat storage. Does that make sense?

You can sit on your butt and eat junk food for every single meal and lose body fat. It would be slow and uncomfortable, but it would happen for sure. But we don't have to do anything like that. I'm guessing you probably eat past the point where you're full, is that right? That's my weakness at least, and if that is yours as well, I've got some really great ideas for you.

Again, I'll wait to get specific until I know a little more. But I do want to encourage you that it is totally possible to lose weight faster than you thought possible while never feeling hungry dieting and while never working up a sweat exercising. So yeah, just let me know whatever you feel comfortable sharing.

Well, I definitely do not want to make anything public knowledge. No offense to you or anything. However, I mean it seems like you may be like a dietitian or something of that sort, so your opinion would be of value to me, for sure. Therefore, I will message you soon. Thank you for your time!

So I managed to "lose" 10 lbs. in a matter of minutes. I must have bumped into the adjustment dial a few weeks ago, and hadn't noticed that it was set to 10 rather than 0. I was wondering where the extra weight came from, as my exercise and diet hadn't changed. Mystery solved.

Social media is making my diet SO much harder. There way too many food videos and pictures. And the more I watch them, the more the algorithm sends my way. There's so many different types of food I had no idea existed.

Would you be willing to describe your diet to me?

I am currently preparing for bariatric surgery. I have 40 more pounds to lose to qualify per my surgeon's instructions. I wanted to lose that weight quickly, so my dietician put me on the pre-op "liquid diet."

Can you describe what that looks like in a day? What is your overall compliance so far?

Oops, I hit reply too soon.

My diet is:

284101837_556755569179807_7082516458293205490_n.jpg

My meal replacement is Ensure Max Protein - 150 calories each
The yogurt is Dannon Lite & Fit Greek Yogurt - 80 calories.
I've replaced the peaches with a bowl of veggies (carrots, broccoli) and a serving of lite ranch
The frozen entree is Lean Cuisine - 300 calories (typically)
I need to drink more water. I reach for the Crystal Lite more often than not.

All total it's between 900-1,000 calories per day.

What is your compliance like? Also, describe your reaction to the idea of eating the following:

I seem to be doing well during the week. I have troubles maintaining on the weekend. It's easier to decide to order out or eat a more "normal" say eating about 2,000 calories or so. I wouldn't consider it a binge, but in a way it is, but I lost 13 pounds the first week. Only lost about 5 in the second, so I'm buckling down for the next two weeks before my next appointment.

If I lose 25 pounds, half of the goal of 50, they will book my psych evaluation and begin the testing.

Seeing that picture I wasn't too interested. I really don't like frozen vegetables like that. They taste rubbery and often freezer burned. We get fresh veggies. Asparagus, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, darker green salad mixes, etc. Nothing too starchy, like corn or potatoes. I was doing keto and succeeded on that for a while, but ended up losing my gallbladder. Attempts to do keto after that was gone failed. I gained quite a bit during the pandemic. Now that I'm almost 40, it's time to get serious.

That sounds really rough. You're in my prayers.
