This was my position long before my beliefs changed towards being Messianic, and it hasn't changed since then. I'm sure other Messianics will have other views.

Perhaps the book Revelation: Four Views, will help you in this, Miss Lion. It covers verse by verse in Revelation why people of four differing generic interpretations of what the book of Revelation is about, take the stance that they do. The literal Left-Behind-ish, antichrist-is-an-actual-person-who-takes-over-the-world view, is but one of them, and there are just as many flaws with that view as there are with the other three covered in this book that I recommend.

Thanks for the recommendation! I know Revelation is highly symbolic, and, some Christian sects believe in the coming of a literal man as an anti-Christ, and some don't. AFAIK, my tradition doesn't.

I definitely need to become better acquainted with the Bible on a regular basis.

I'm also afraid of dying. I am not sure where I am going to go after I die.

I used to have these fears often, afraid of what I didn't know, afraid of the unknown, feelings of inadequacy or self-condemnation. For such small creatures we really do try to carry so much on our shoulders, perhaps much more than we were ever meant to. I think one of the greatest comforts I find is the thought that one day we will all return to the one whom we came from.
