Looks like my last week at Dr. Pepper will be rather anti-climactic. But at least less troublesome than my days there have been lately. (Oddly, God appears to have been merciful ever since I announced my resignation last Thursday, in that I have not had a troublesome day there since.) But unfortunately, as it is the week after Christmas next week it doesn't appear as though production will be as great as it normally is, therefore I will not see everyone there at once that I wish to say goodbye to before I leave for good. Most notably, the beautiful and lovely Marina.

I even missed her today unexpectedly as she is scheduled for the rest of my time there to come in an hour after my shift is finished rather than our crossing at shift change. But, I would like to say goodbye in person. .... She and the other Hispanic lass I have known and worked with at Dr. Pepper, Mayela, have expressed the desire to hang out with me at least once after my last day at the lab but before I leave town entirely. (And, come on, who am I, Sarah's Knight, Protector of Angels, to say no to this proposition?

) So I guess the goodbye can suffice until then. Unless of course Marina and Mayela both would be pleasantly surprised to have me swing back by the lab later on tonight just to ensure that i can say goodbye to them there in the appropriate place.

Knowing what I do of their personalities, I am more inclined to believe that Marina would be made happy that I did that rather than feeling creeped out for any reason.
Still, despite all of this ... I will not reconsider leaving. The job itself has just become too much a burden, and it really does feel like the time to move on.
