Ughhhh... my scholarship got revoked. I don't know why. It really looks like administrative error on their part, but I'm upset anyway. Also, I think it's late enough that complaining about it probably won't do any good...

I feel like it's my part for not being pushy enough and paying attention to things better.

Its never to late to complain. If it's thier fault go n complain.

I killed a granddaddy rattler with my pistol. In order to kill it with a shovel like that, I would have had to have gotten within striking distance. While I have killed poisonous snakes with a shovel or hoe, I was quite a distance from my vehicle and as large as the snake was, I probably would have died before reaching medical help. Better to spend a few pennies than die. And besides, I didnt have a shovel with me at the time. lol I did cut off his rattle, though. Hung it from my rear-view mirror.

How many rattle buttons.

Here in the Ozarks I have not seen any big rattlers. I am sure there are a few but they are smart and leave the area when a human is around. I have killed more snakes stomping on them than shooting them. I do not believe I have ever shot a snake before. I hear if you shot them with a bullet that it can fly up in the air and then can come down on you but if you use shot that it just scoots it away.

I have killed copperheads with shovels and hoes, they are all over the place around here. Last hunting season I step on a big one while on a trail. Stepped right in the center of its back and it did not even tag me. I am learning that copperheads do not leave the area like others will, they rely on their camouflage too much and just set there. Weird little things. Not only in my experience but in videos also they do not tag a person when stepped on. I do not get them. Watch this video of a guy stepping all over a small copperhead and the snake does not even strike him.

Start at about 6:10 and watch him step all over the copperhead.

Does anyone have any tips regarding insanity? I feel like There are 5 sets of muscles I need to work out in my life: my physical muscles, my literary muscles, my social muscles, my spiritual muscles, and, most desperately, my sanity muscles. These are the weakest, I think.

OMM: it seems like my friends can be easily divided into two categories. There's a "Let's play chess and OD on ice cream to celebrate" camp, and a "Let's party drunk and naked until 3 AM!" camp. And I am awkwardly caught in between.

lol that's funny, it strikes me as my two categories of friends, as well. I was once Christian, so I have Christian conservative friends, and now that I lean towards atheism/agnosticism...I have many atheist friends now. Both groups are down to earth, although I lost a few good Christian friends when I left the faith. :/

Yeah. I have that wide variety too. Oddly enough, though, the division for me isn't so much a Christian vs. Agnostic thing... it's more of a nerdy vs. popular thing.
