I knew a guy who had a rat oh and a punk girl in highschool, she took it with her during the lessons. It sat in her neck. I wanted to buy one too because they were so sweet, but when I saw it in the shop I saw those red eyes and long tail, eeeeww, rabbits were cute but no rat. Those hamsters were also cute.

I spent a lot of time around rats, mostly feeding them to reptiles.

Many a rat have I knocked unconscious and dropped to a hungry boa and baby rats I fed to my water dragon.... I am immune to the suffering of the rodent. I knocked the sewer rat sized rodents unconscious to help a friend feed his boas to avoid the rat fighting back (hurting the snake) obviously, a rat trapped in a cage with a boa isn't going to win, even while putting up a fight, but........ it kept the snake from getting wounded and cut up needing extra care.

The process was a bit brutal..... but....it was swift and I guess its better to not see or feel whats coming when they are dropped in the cage.

My water dragon on the other hand was evil, it would bite the animals in half.... let them suffer, then finish them off. I gave it away when I got tired of cleaning up after it. I gave it to a pet store and said just find it a good home. I was tired of cleaning up rodent/cricket bits and all.

Water dragon : (Not mine) I had a blue tinted one.

Shoot a snake???
Yeah.

Obviously, I'm not referring to a garden snake or rat snake. I meant a rattler, coral snake, or copperhead.

But yes, if I found a dangerous snake in the house, I would probably shoot it.

Best tool ever devised for killing snakes. Ammo is way too expensive now days to use it on little snakes.

I killed a granddaddy rattler with my pistol. In order to kill it with a shovel like that, I would have had to have gotten within striking distance. While I have killed poisonous snakes with a shovel or hoe, I was quite a distance from my vehicle and as large as the snake was, I probably would have died before reaching medical help. Better to spend a few pennies than die. And besides, I didnt have a shovel with me at the time. lol I did cut off his rattle, though. Hung it from my rear-view mirror.

The last two nights I tried to go to sleep, things went badly because I was just filled with negative thoughts about myself. I'm going to try to go to bed earlier. Good night all!

aw, yea, sometimes that happens and then i can't sleep. i start thinking negative things about what might happen the next day at work, and then i'm up all night. :( there's nothing i can do about tomorrow, so worrying about it won't solve anything. lol

sleep well.

@dreaminofireland, I was about to say that I don't have anyone to kill them for me. In fact, I'm the one who is supposed to kill them for my grandmother.

But apparently, I have @Toro to kill them for me. :D That sounds like a great show. Definitely worth making tacos. Maybe even worth frying homemade taco shells...

I ALSO killed two mice yesterday. My grandmother and I live in an 80+ year old farmhouse, and there are a lot of cracks where things get in. They've been coming to visit extra often lately, because it's been very hot and dry out.

I just hope we don't get snakes. I know how to get rid of mice and I can eventually get rid of wasps. The problem with snakes is that if I shoot a snake in the house, some of my relatives will get very upset about firearm safety and me ruining the floor and so on.

That's right! You can conquer those wasps! Yeah, you may not want to shoot snakes in the house but I understand. No one wants a snake in their home, unless it's a pet.

That's funny... that made my day, lol.

I grew up in a redneck family and I shoot fairly well. I don't shoot often nowadays, but if my grandmother is in danger, you can bet I'll be right to it.

I guess maybe I'm citified enough that people don't imagine me as someone who can shoot, or someone who plans to get a concealed carry permit in the future. In fact, the last time I went home, my 9 year old sister out-shot me and my siblings all decided I'd turned into a useless city girl.

Life has been unbareable lately.
I'm really sorry about that.

If it helps, you can always hit me up when bad days happen and we'll talk. I care about you and I do have time to help you through.
