I knew a guy who had a rat oh and a punk girl in highschool, she took it with her during the lessons. It sat in her neck. I wanted to buy one too because they were so sweet, but when I saw it in the shop I saw those red eyes and long tail, eeeeww, rabbits were cute but no rat. Those hamsters were also cute.
I spent a lot of time around rats, mostly feeding them to reptiles.
Many a rat have I knocked unconscious and dropped to a hungry boa and baby rats I fed to my water dragon.... I am immune to the suffering of the rodent. I knocked the sewer rat sized rodents unconscious to help a friend feed his boas to avoid the rat fighting back (hurting the snake) obviously, a rat trapped in a cage with a boa isn't going to win, even while putting up a fight, but........ it kept the snake from getting wounded and cut up needing extra care.
The process was a bit brutal..... but....it was swift and I guess its better to not see or feel whats coming when they are dropped in the cage.
My water dragon on the other hand was evil, it would bite the animals in half.... let them suffer, then finish them off. I gave it away when I got tired of cleaning up after it. I gave it to a pet store and said just find it a good home. I was tired of cleaning up rodent/cricket bits and all.
Water dragon : (Not mine) I had a blue tinted one.
