You the ones that buying crap thats often made in sweatshops and oil so..shooting yourselves in the foot and blaming the other country isnt a wise move.

Also as christians we are not to be afraid of anything. Not even other countries. GOd sees us and he sees all nations and the people in them. Yoiu cant make blanket judgements about other countries just cos their govt is greedy or a mess. Its the world system and we are not in the world.

So what the economy is doing shouldnt really concern us at all.

Honestly, its not in my control so I don't worry about it. Not because I am "an arrogant American" I simply have better things to do with my time than worry if nuclear fire is headed my way.

On the other hand, this is also true. I just find myself thinking and worrying more about the possibility of war these days. Not sure exactly why, but it is the one thing most of all I pray to never have to see in my lifetime. But at the same time, you are right that worrying avails me nothing; even Christ Himself says do not worry. Even though I intend to leave this country soon to heed the Spirit's calling, to a place where, to my admittedly limited understanding of global politics right now, I feel I would be much safer should any one country get an itchy finger on its nuclear launch button, I would still be concerned for the land I left to the south of me, where I am leaving my family and friends. Well, all in all, the most one man can do is pray, and leave it at that and go on with his life the best he can, not letting the worry get in the way.

Where we feel safest is usually the opposite of where God is leading us..

Its not for me to judge if God is leading you there or not, but if your sole drive is based on "Id feel safest" then.... thats between you and God. In the Bible however I see more people being lead down the least safest path...... through the valley of the shadow of death. Not in the opposite direction of it.

Its not for me to judge if God is leading you there or not, but if your sole drive is based on "Id feel safest" then.... thats between you and God. In the Bible however I see more people being lead down the least safest path...... through the valley of the shadow of death. Not in the opposite direction of it.

But no worries. I will be heading in virtually the opposite direction of Saskatchewan. I've no intentions of living in even the same province as she.

As to the calling, no, it isn't because I'd feel safer from war; I felt this moving from the Spirit long before I began to think on such things with our next Presidential election. Who knows, Canada in some respects may NOT be safer in regards other than war, not for a single man so far from filial support for the first time in his life. That part is what scares me a bit, actually.

(I once saw one of a huge overweight man dressed as Usagi in magical heroine mode, you see, and I immediately went 35% legally blind in both eyes, so perhaps seeing actual girls who have endeavored to dress in the likeness of one of anime's most well-known magic heroines would be a form of therapy for my eyesight, you know, at least being of the same gender and all. ^-^ )

So, if Canada is your destination more power to ya and God bless. I was simply warning that leaving your own country is a big step. Leaving your own country out of fear of what may be is a big mistake. Id rather see you take a big step in faith rather than a big mistake you blame on God is all.
