So I was thinking about Matthew 24:29 today. (Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken)

And I was thinking - this in itself is a prophetic message to people in these generations. Like, of course it's prophecy - but what I mean is that we can actually discern something from it with wisdom. Today's generation doesn't believe in God. They believe that the cosmos are stationed in their places and that they will only be moved by natural laws. They don't believe in things that are spiritual.
So when these events happen - people are really gonna freak out. If you're convinced there's no God, and convinced that scientific laws are all that exist, than events like this will really blow the mind.

And I think that's the point - to blow minds. It's judgement and justice and wrath from God. He'll counter all modern philosophies in seconds, all scientific theory will be stunned because of the supernatural events that will happen to the sun, moon and stars. It will be the direct hand of God, and undeniable that God exists and that something spiritual exists. It's a JOLT saying that something supernatural exists.

I can see how some may just see it as a verse that shows God will just show his ultimate power, but I also believe it has to do with people who don't believe in God or believe God's hands are shortened - it will shock them.

This is all just a theory of course. Who knows, maybe at this time there will already be miracles going on and God's hand and spiritual things will be undeniable already. But it's a cool thought imo.

While I can certainly appreciate the jest, it reminds me that a few in our country may seriously take on this kind of attitude, not the least of whom is a certain aspiring Commander in Chief of ours despite how I hear he wishes for cooperation with Russia in certain matters; I fear this "America is undefeatable if we just flex the muscle God gave us" kind of thinking will come back to bite us in the backside soon in a very bad way if it is the attitude that predominates in our nation.

We aren't all-powerful.

Honestly, its not in my control so I don't worry about it. Not because I am "an arrogant American" I simply have better things to do with my time than worry if nuclear fire is headed my way.

Trump or Clinton it matters not. As I have said, both of them are a worst case scenario for this nation. Unless Obama declares the status with Russia a state of emergency and remains in office....... then we have a 3 way tie for worst case scenario.

Like it or not. We the people allowed it to get this bad by not holding our leaders accountable and not fixing the system BEFORE jokers like Trump and Hilary are offered up as our only options.

While what I said WAS a joke, I am honestly more afraid of China than of Russia. I still believe we have the muscle to go head to head with Russia..... I do not feel we have the man power nor the industry to go up against China.

Russia doesn't scare me.... not because I see us as THE superpower. I haven't seen us as #1 for a long time (even though I still love my country, I can still face truth.... I love my Texans, but they suck. Its truth, not hate.)

I know we have declined. However, at worse I see us at the same level as Russia. I don't see any of our leaders competent or willing enough to curb the Russian issue..... as I said though. I have no control over it, so Im going to keep living life and let God worry about my safety.

If that means my Christmas song is Weird Al....

... then so be it..... Fallout 5 comes out early.

People aren't going to vote me into office to try and fix this nation........ noooo they are perfectly happy with a broken 2 party "team mentality" system..... so.... They deserve a Trump/Hilary/Obama future.

In my travels round the country...its the chinese who are buying our products (well the raw materials to make and manufacture products) there is practically no export market to the usa and we dont get any imports from them either.

All the products I see even the christian books are printed in china.

I think the only time ive ever seen a made in usa sticker is well..never. But the usa make a lot of films and noisy music which many people just consume mindlessly. Also..mcdonalds. Cant get away from a maccas. But its the concept not the food itself.

China makes everything and we are in debt to China to the tune of 1 trillion and change........ so no. they can cripple OUR economy. Their economy would be fine, THEY are the new industry powerhouse.... thats why EVERYTHING is made in China.

Anyone funded by China would be far more an issue than they are themselves. Besides, China produces everything. The US government even "okayed" China supplying us with food..... so yes...When you consider lead based paint on toys, even items that go into the mouth of a child such as a pacifier..... I am still FAR more afraid of China than Russia.

I never said Russia shouldn't be taken seriously. Simply that there are BIGGER threats than the "evil Russians". They ALWAYS need a boogey man in the 80s Russians, 90s Russians to start Middle East by the end. 00's- 10's Again, middle easterners. Now it seems we are going back to the good ole Russians. Especially during election time.

It's never the bus you see coming that hits you. Its the threat you didn't know was there that gets you.
