I only wish I could be more involved! I'm in Australia, and its in the USA! Over twelve months ago, the lady who runs the rescue got her first pregnant rescue. The poor girl had major health issues, and had been neglected. It was amazing watching the changes in her, with the care Ann and her family and volunteers gave her. (she has other rescue horses as well.) She went on to have a healthy filly.
She has only had these two new mares a week. It will be much harder than the last pregnant mare, because it looks like they are going to have less time to work on them and build trust. They have never even had halters on them, so you can imagine they are going to have their work cut out for them. I think she said they are both around 100 pounds underweight.
Soz, I kinda "talk" a lot, in case you couldnt tell! I'm like that most the time in real life too!

I thought a "Whats on your mind" for this section would be good, cos there is one in the "Singles" section, and while I've posted in it sometimes...umm...I kinda feel outta place...probably cuz I'm a fair bit older than most the posters..I was gunna say more "mature"...but that would be a looooong way from the truth!

I have to have my mobile on me all the time, because my youngest son has Autism, and he knows if anything is every wrong, he needs to call me. I've gotten to the point tho that if a "private" number calls, 9 times out of ten, I dont answer.
Speaking of phones, do you guys get people calling up faking that you have something wrong with your computer and if you give them your details etc, they can take over your computer. They then suck you into giving them your credit card details to "fix" your computers? It happens HEAPS here! Few of my friends have been sucked in. I want it to happen when my eldest son is home from work...he works in I.T, and hes just itching for them to call, so he can get on his computer and mess with their heads!Cheeky boy, but I luff him to bits!
maybe it's cuz it was back in 2012! LOL

Lol, thats why I couldnt find it..I didnt go back far enough! Ahhh well, who knows..this could fizzle out too and then in a couple of years someone else will probably start another one up!

Whats on my mind today?! Couple of things....
You know your 21 year old son is reeally not well, when he goes to bed at 10pm! Poor kid was awake then at 4am in agony with an ear infection. Off to the docs this morning.
Its good to be punctual for apts.....but not three WEEKS early for an apt! I got the time and day right....that counts, doesnt it?!

what's on my mind right now? I'm getting off work in 5 minutes. Going to stop at the store on the way home and going to try to make a couple of new chicken recipes. One is bacon wrapped chicken strips and the other is Crock pot Hawaiian chicken which will be for tomorrow. Yum.

Ohhh, that sounds soooo yummy! I have to confess...my Aunty was getting rid of an almost brand new crockpot about 4 years ago...and gave it to me...aaaand I still havnt used it! Lol! Need to get my butt into gear and learn to use it. Lol!

yes today coming here has me anxious and worried by the posts that Dan has made and closing his thread and all. Ugh! I don't want Dan to go, and I don't even really know him, but I can tell he really has a good heart now, regardless of his past and I wish he would see that. I am praying for him as I know many of you are too. Let us continue and hopefully we will hear from him again.

Just feel so sad for Dan and his family. My heart hurts for them. Just cant imagine the heartache they have all been thru, and what they will be going thru now. Its just so sad. I believe he is with Jesus, but I just soooo wish he had realised how much God loved him while he was here on this earth. Just heartbreaking.

I dont know why the thread was taken down, with no explanation. I was offline for a few hours, and when I came back on, it had disappeared.
Ive got no idea how to find out where to send cards/flowers. The person who posted in the thread that was taken down, letting us know about the O.D may know, but I cant remember who it was.

Erase him and then it never existed. Isn't that the "normal" way? It stinks that the moderators don't give us the respect to understand that we can handle this and need to handle this. There was nothing bad in that post...except maybe that I actually told people how to find help or the truth of what happened was there. After talking to him daily for 10 days, I actually considered him a "friend" and miss talking to him.
