sorry for your loss too cajunqueen. do you know a man named Charles Hammersky? i served with him for a while. very funny guy. i know that's where he was from because we visited his mom one time and we went to play poker at the harrah's casino on lake Charles and ended up getting evacuated because of hurricane Katrina.

Great about getting the Bluetooth working! It is nice to have. If I have to make a phone call while driving, I just push a button on the steering wheel and say who I want to call. I have TuneIn Radio on my phone and also my tablet. I can stream radio stations from all over the world. I can play the audio through the car stereo. I really enjoy that.

Thanks, D.S! :)

Have you heard of "Pandora" Internet Radio? I have that on my mobile. I tried to get it to load on my mobile when I was in the car to get it to play thru the stereo system, and it kept telling me something like "Your session has timed out". I really would love to get that working if I can. I have it on my computer, and love it.

I will be interested to see how the call quality is thru the car stereo! I think the only buttons I have on my steering wheel are volume, change songs, and also a button for dash display. From what I can see the only actual buttons for answering the phone, are on the stereo itself. Still pretty easy tho!

Reeeally should get around to reading the "destruction" book a lil more! :D

glad you got it working. I know nothing about technolody. ive never even had a cell phone.

Thanks, Dan! :)

Its taken me quite a few years, but I kinda have a basic knowledge on computers, and phones now.

Wow, you've never even had a cell phone! Most the time I love mine, but sometimes it can be a pain in the butt, especially when some people expect that if you have one, you should answer it every time it calls, or every time you get a txt message. And dont get me started on when I see people driving and texting! I have a long fuse..but I tell ya, when I see people driving around, staring at their laps instead of the road because they cant POSSIBLY wait til their car is stationary to read, or send a text, I just wanna give em a love tap...to the back of the head...with a brick! :D

I tried to start a thread like this awhile ago, but it didn't stick. We still have the Mature chat thread which is the same as this, but anyway, good on ya for getting this one going

As for cell phones. Yesterday, I forgot my cell phone at home. So in the afternoon my son had a tattoo appt down the street from where I work so he brought my phone and I went and got it. In less than an hour after having it (and no calls while it was sitting at home) my second job calls me to see if I could work! arrrrrrgggghhh! Anyway I DID go in for them but I was thinking I should have just left the phone at home! :D

I don't have any definite plans but I might go see the new movie Pompeii even if I have to go by myself. It will be fun to see since I have been to Pompeii. I have to work my second job 9-1 tomorrow then off the rest of the weekend. Got my outside yards done (by someone else lol) now I need to get the inside cleaned.

Hey Michelle! :) Doh, soz about the one you started a while ago. I didnt see it.

I thought a "Whats on your mind" for this section would be good, cos there is one in the "Singles" section, and while I've posted in it sometimes...umm...I kinda feel outta place...probably cuz I'm a fair bit older than most the posters..I was gunna say more "mature"...but that would be a looooong way from the truth! :D Maybe thats why I kinda felt like my randomness, in my mind, kinda fits with "Whats on your mind", more than "Mature Chat". I dunno. Anyways, hope everyones ok with me starting this up. :)

Lol @ your "arrgghhhh" moment when your second job calling you to work! :D Good on you for going in and working anyways. :)

I have to have my mobile on me all the time, because my youngest son has Autism, and he knows if anything is every wrong, he needs to call me. I've gotten to the point tho that if a "private" number calls, 9 times out of ten, I dont answer.

Speaking of phones, do you guys get people calling up faking that you have something wrong with your computer and if you give them your details etc, they can take over your computer. They then suck you into giving them your credit card details to "fix" your computers? It happens HEAPS here! Few of my friends have been sucked in. I want it to happen when my eldest son is home from work...he works in I.T, and hes just itching for them to call, so he can get on his computer and mess with their heads! ^_^ Cheeky boy, but I luff him to bits! :D

I need to challenge myself and go to the movies one day on my own. Since I split with my ex about 5 years ago, I hate even watching tv on my own. Just feels kinda weird, and empty, if that makes sense. Most evenings I tend to just do stuff on the net.

Nice on the yard work ... I have 2 to 5 feet on snow on my yard, so no yard work for me for a long time! yaaaaaaa

Snow....whats that?! :p

FINALLY the weather is cooling down here. After the heat wave we had, its lovely not to need fans or air con on. Roll on winter! :D

I've been known to ignore my phone, but then again nobody ever really calls, it's all texting anymore. I'm sure texting is so very 2007 to the kiddos, but then again, I don't care.

As for tech support, I tend to avoid it. I've figured out enough over years of poking around with things online that I can usually solve a computer problem somehow. If not, being offline is a blessing, not a curse!

Wow, a man who dances voluntarily! Impressive lol :p

Lol, I'm in trouble when I finally meet someone, if they can dance! They will have to put up with me standing on their toes, or accidentally hitting them as I shuffle and twitch my way across the dance floor! :D

I generally also am not big on TV or movies alone, but I never have been.

And yes, I'm all for a bit of cool weather, it's too hot already and I'm in the US - the part that the polar vortex passed over and instead got the insufferable heat wave!

I'm really outgoing, but when it comes to the phone, I would rather text than talk. I used to love talking on the phone, but over the years Ive just lost interest I guess.

Eeeek....that doesnt bode well for you for summer, if you're already experiencing heat like that!

Compared to many of my friends from the US, winter here is much milder. We get a few just below zero temps at night, but for the most part, it really isnt that cold...altho some people here would disagree.

It's a hot desert here, can't expect much in terms of cool weather. And in a way it seems people text more than talk in general nowadays. I'm hoping we'll get to telepathic communication soon, texting takes so much effort! ^_^

Whats on my mind....the two pregnant and neglected, rescued mares that I'm keeping watch on cam. They were rescued a week ago, and they have no idea how far along they are. The cams are great because it means the people who run the rescue are able to get some sleep at night knowing that people from around the world will keep an eye on the mares, and call if anything goes wrong.
