We shouldn't assume the Bible is incorrect when it disagrees with our view of reality.

I assume the Bible is incorrect in Genesis 1, because the evidence says other than what Genesis does.

How do you know what you are reading in the English translation of the Bible is accurate? Can you read Hebrew or Greek? Are you a theologian that can put it together and has spent a lifetime interpreting it?

Also, if you and another Christian disagree on interpretation, who is correct and upon who's authority does that rest?

And these specific translations can have huge consequences. Our English word "relations" can be two Hebrew words, one of which is for casual acquaintance and another for sexual activity.
