This is the way I see it. Both the RCC and the EOC have both drawn lines in the sand. Doing so, they have pretty much trapped themselves in their particular faith behind these lines. I really don't see either faith relenting. Mind you I'm no expert and we all know miracles happen.

But, we Protestants happily reside between your lines knowing that God is looking down and telling us to chill out it doesn't have to be that difficult.

For protestants all it would take for us all to be united is for the RCCs and EOCs to erase those lines and be joined with all of us.

As the Jews were to "hold" the oracles of God, the early Christians also believed they were charged to "hold" the things of God. Its more difficult than "erasing Lines" -- to go beyond the lines of what God charged we "hold" would be adultery in the OT sense.

In more modern terms, it would be syncretism or heresy.

The GREAT "LINE":

Luke 16:26 And in all these things, between us and ye, a Great Chasm/casma <5490> hath been established,--so that those willing to pass over/diabhnai <1224> hence toward ye, not be able to, no yet thence toward us may be crossing over/ferrying/diaperwsin <1276>.

Erasing the lines... so what, we should just all be relative Christians? Oh, you believe this, and I believe that, but we can all be right...

Jesus says "I am the Truth". That implies there is one Truth, it is Christ, it is full, and in all our disagreements, at least one of us has to be just plain wrong.

Tell me, does your Church agree with every teaching of every Church in your neighborhood excluding EO/RCC? how about your city? How about your state? How about your Country? How about the entire world? If so, well, that's news to me.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me the sinner.

So, what are you implying or asserting? That only those in complete compliance or those who believe the complete unadulterated "truth told by Christ" will be the ones in heaven? Or that they ones "closest" to being correct will go to heaven? What is your point?

Or does one only have to belong to the Church that claims to be the One True Church to get to heaven?
