I don't know that that's so. I know, for instance, that there are Christians who pick up poisonous snakes and the snakes do not harm them. It's only when they ARE harmed that it makes the newspapers. But I agree that some other gifts or actions are harder to come by.

Did you fall backward above large rocks from a height of about 20 feet? I did. No harm, no bruises, just the superficial cut from the rain gutter that barely bleed at all, woke up even before the ladder fell down beside me. Twilight zone.

That didn't make me stop being partly still agnostic often though. One hour I'd think God could exist, but another hour I'd wonder if instead it was incredible luck.

Getting it as 100% certainty that God exists would only come years later, after prayer after prayer was answered, often in impossible seeming ways. I never prayed except in moments when I knew in my heart I was praying to God. Instead, that fall and rescue from the roof made me begin to actively seek to find out more about God.

Another remarkable prayer was for a foot problem in my left foot that hurt about a year and a half, until finally I prayed for it to be healed, once, before falling asleep. The next day the pain was gone. It has stayed healed. That was over 2 years ago. The other foot, my right foot, had a much less serious but similar pain, but only occasional, so I did not pray for that right foot, because it had not hurt for days, even while the left foot got worse than ever (provoking me to finally pray). Now, over 2 years of no pain in the left foot, but occasional continuing pain in the right foot, it's as clear as day that the prayer is the difference, because if it was just lucky natural healing, the right foot should have.
See? I'm not naive. Many of these answered prayers are seemingly impossible things. It's just exactly like I bought 30 lottery tickets, and one paid $500, and another paid $10,000, and one paid $100,000, and some paid $50, and some $5, and several paid $100 or $200, but every ticket paid, and not even one failed to win. It's just exactly like that.

If your god does these things, why doesn't he do it for everyone who is sick or in pain. It seems many suffer needlessly and still believe, waiting for healing.

Not on video. But they didn't have video until very recently in history, and there have been many people who have put their faith in God before it happened, some that saw miraculous healings, others that did not.

Primarymay.....your inquiries as to why a “good” God would allow suffering are as old as mankind.perhaps that is why Job isthe oldest book in the Bible.Have you read it? In a nutshell it says God is Sovereign,Ne will do what He wants and Hisreasons are none of our business. Not exactly what we want to hear, but He does make His points—-where were you when He created the universe, etc?

That's ironic because I have. I'm probably the only one here that has truly followed God correctly, it would be wise to pay close attention. Am I perfect or Jesus-Like? No, but I know it is possible because once you get close enough the only thing that stops you is your ego's fear of non existence. Divinity is like an elevator, a peace that keeps increasing and increasing endlessly and when you're at that point you're just a long for the ride. But the ego, what you perceive as reality now cannot exist in heaven and therein lies the challenge.

I personally do not have beliefs anymore, pantheism is the broad doctrine which states everything is God, which is correct. I discovered the term while studying Albert Einstien's faith. All I have is a mission, which can be found in Mathew 6:14-15.

You have to actively forgive everyone for everything or remain where you are, death will not exempt you from this task. If you end up in heaven but have not done this, then you are not in the real heaven but a fabrication formed by collaborative belief. You can see it for yourself by mastering astral projection the people there think it is real but places where forgiveness is lacking cannot exist eternally.

Fasten your seat belt!! DY-N0-MITE NEWS: The entire Book of Matthew was written to a people group known today as Jews! Look at Luke 17:3-4! The forgiveness involved disputes between Jewish brethren, not salvation by Grace through Faith, the GIFT of God, which can NEVER be taken back or withdrawn by our Blessed Heavenly Father!!

It is sited in many parts of the bible, why do you seek excuses to lack forgiveness? My knowledge comes from God directly, by forgiving, tell me are you doubtless about your faith or is it mere belief? Can you say what you know exists as surely as water exists? I can.

...which, to you, is inconceivable coming from a god. The question then becomes "How would I know, considering that it I am NOT a god?" :)

I repeat it over and over, forgive everyone for everything no matter what, past present future, until it is absolute, its very simple. The simplicity of it is why it is consistently overlooked. You surrender yourself to God's law.

Who you are now, cannot enter heaven because, you're basically like a demon, choosing your own path over God's. What you perceive as reality now is nothing more than a delusional state which must be released.

When you forgive and surrender to the degree required, God begins to lift you up automatically and the moment you cannot handle the heights you are rising to it stops, there is no roof no matter how high you go you can always go higher.

I know what I'm saying is true due to the ability to perform miracles during and shortly after this process.

" 'Peter began to say to Him, "Behold, we have left everything and followed You.' (Mark 10:28)"

" 'Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.' (Romans 12:1)"

One might say that in preparation for the JSoC that forgiving everyone of everything will be a home run, when one is actually standing there before Jesus, with a huge audience of onlookers! In the meantime, it is a release of all those negatives: hate, anger, destructive responses, guilt....a long list....leading to joyful family and friends relationships in our earthly lives.

I don't see anything in Jesus' statement that the sorts of works He means involve having special spiritual powers.

Every single one of God's people? I'm not sure a case can be made for that biblically. Whenever a particularly spectacular event happens, it seems to be noteworthy precisely because it is out of the ordinary and spectacular. If every single person that had faith in the God of Abraham, Jew or Christian, had extraordinary abilities granted to them by God, then the Bible seems to fail to mention anything even remotely like this. Instead we read about God working through some people in special ways sometimes--not everyone all the time, but some people sometimes.
