• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What is the strong delusion God will send in the end time?

I think the strong delusion is lawlesness, hypergrace. The sons of God married who they wanted. I see exactly the same now, if the sons of God were no angels. Marriage, divorce, remarriage, divorce, third time etc., premarital sex, living together is getting normal with christians. And only looking for signs, not praying, but getting happy with some golddust. The pope wants to unite, he had a movie for Kenneth Copeland. Chrislam, false signs and wonders, 'love', 'respect'.

Like the former, however, no sarcasm nor rhetoric, does IIThess.2:10b-12 have much to do with it?

Yes, lot of false signs and wonders in the charismatic church and a lot of lawlesness. Glory clouds and angel feathers and golddust.

You ought to see what also has been, and continues to be taught in modern Lutheranism (Seminaries included)? Ie, not forever good for sure,

It is unusual for (non-Catholic-adherent) Christians today to see divorce and remarriage as a sin, even though the Bible says a husband isn't to divorce his wife (1 Corinthians 7:11b), and a wife isn't to divorce her husband (1 Corinthians 7:10). And if a wife does divorce her husband, she must remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband (1 Corinthians 7:11).

Regarding becoming reconciled, a Christian must always completely forgive everyone who has wronged him or her in any way (Mark 11:25), no matter how great the wrong and no matter how many times a wrong has been committed (Matthew 18:21-35). For if a Christian refuses to forgive anyone for anything, God will refuse to forgive that Christian for his or her own sins (Mark 11:26).

If a husband divorces a valid wife and marries another woman, he's committing adultery (Mark 10:11). And if a wife divorces a valid husband and marries another man, she's committing adultery (Mark 10:12). The exception for fornication (as distinguished from adultery) in Matthew 19:9 permits a husband to divorce a valid wife for having had pre-marital sex, and to marry another woman without his committing adultery. But this applies only to cases where a husband doesn't discover until after he's married that his newlywed wife isn't a virgin (cf. Deuteronomy 22:14, Matthew 1:19). There's no such pre-marital sex exception granted to a wife. Also, there's no pre-marital sex exception granted to a man who marries a divorced woman. If a man marries a woman divorced from a valid husband for any reason, he's committing adultery (Luke 16:18b).

1 Corinthians 7:15 means a believing spouse isn't under the bondage of having to keep together a marriage to an unbeliever when the unbeliever is determined to get a divorce. But 1 Corinthians 7:15 doesn't mean a believing wife, after being divorced by an unbelieving husband, can then marry someone else. For if a man marries a divorced woman, he's committing adultery (Luke 16:18b). But the scriptures don't forbid a divorced man to marry a 2nd, single, non-divorced woman, as long as it was his first wife (whether an unbeliever or a believer) who divorced him. But then in God's eyes, he will be married to two women at the same time, which, while no scripture requires is a sin in itself, because it's not the best situation, it disqualifies him from taking any leadership positions in the church (1 Timothy 3:2,12), based on the basic idea of 1 Timothy 3:5.

The now-abolished letter of the Old Covenant Mosaic law (Ephesians 2:15-16, Colossians 2:14-17, Romans 7:6) permitted a divorced woman to marry someone else (Deuteronomy 24:2). But if her 2nd marriage ended, the letter of the Old Covenant Mosaic law forbade her to remarry her first husband (Deuteronomy 24:4). The New Covenant rules turn this on its head. For now a divorced woman can't marry anyone else (Mark 10:12, Luke 16:18b), but she can remarry her first husband (1 Corinthians 7:11). It was because the letter of the Old Covenant Mosaic law permitted a divorced woman to marry someone else, that Jesus, while the letter of the Old Covenant Mosaic law was still in effect, could acknowledge the woman of Samaria's 5 marriages (John 4:18, assuming all 5 didn't end in the death of her husband: cf. Luke 20:29-31). The New Covenant rules forbidding a divorced woman to marry anyone else didn't come into legal effect until Jesus' death on the Cross brought the New Covenant into legal effect (Hebrews 9:16-17, Matthew 26:28) and abolished the letter of the Old Covenant Mosaic law (Ephesians 2:15-16, Colossians 2:14-17, Romans 7:6).

God never said marriage would be easy. And he's set such strict New Covenant rules regarding divorce and 2nd marriages (Matthew 19:9, Mark 10:12) that the apostles said it's better not to get married at all (Matthew 19:10). Jesus answered them by saying whoever can accept not getting married, and remaining celibate, should accept it (Matthew 19:11-12). The apostle Paul said the same thing, that unmarried celibacy is the best thing for a Christian if he or she can handle it (1 Corinthians 7:1,7-8,32-35). But if someone who hasn't been married can't contain himself or herself sexually, then he or she should get married in order to avoid fornication (1 Corinthians 7:2,9).

The strict New Covenant rules regarding divorce and 2nd marriages cut both ways, in that if believers find themselves in a miserable marriage which is an adulterous affair in God's eyes (Mark 10:11-12), they can escape their misery and their unrepentant sin at the same time by divorcing their invalid spouse. But if they find themselves in a very pleasant marriage which is an adulterous affair in God's eyes, they have to be willing to give it up in order to escape their unrepentant sin, and thereby avoid ultimately losing their salvation due to unrepentant sin (Hebrews 10:26-29, Galatians 5:19-21, Luke 12:45-46).

The only unforgivable sin is blaspheming against the Holy Spirit (Mark 3:28-29), such as ascribing a work of the Holy Spirit to Satan (Mark 3:22-30). Any other sin can be forgiven if it's repented from and confessed to God (1 John 1:9). Just as if believers find themselves living in the sin of an adulterous affair, they can't continue in that sin, so if they find themselves living in the sin of 2nd-marriage adultery (Mark 10:12, Matthew 19:9), they can't continue in that sin (or any other sin) and expect God's grace to forgive them (Hebrews 10:26-29, Galatians 5:19-21; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10). They must break off with the 2nd, invalid spouse, even if they have had children with the 2nd spouse, just as married people must break off an adulterous affair even if they have had children as a result of that affair.

After breaking off an adulterous 2nd marriage, a wife must remain unmarried or be reconciled to her first, valid husband (1 Corinthians 7:11). She can't marry someone else, even if, for example, that would help her and her children to escape poverty. For just as escaping poverty wouldn't justify the wife continuing in the sin of an adulterous affair with a man who financially supports her and her children (or wouldn't justify the sin of her becoming and remaining a well-paid prostitute), so escaping poverty wouldn't justify the sin of her entering into another case of 2nd-marriage adultery (Mark 10:12) with a man who financially supports her and her children.

Romans 3:31 means Christians establish the Old Covenant Mosaic law not in its letter, but in its spirit (Romans 7:6), by loving others (Romans 13:8-10, Galatians 5:14, Matthew 7:12). Part of loving others is warning them if they're living in sin (Revelation 3:19; 2 Thessalonians 3:15, Hebrews 3:13, James 5:19-20). The worst thing a Christian can do is coddle people who are living in sin, instead of sharing with them the hard truths of God's Word (2 Timothy 4:2-4, cf. Jeremiah 23:14,22,29). Telling the truth to people can sometimes hurt them, but that's better than deceiving them with something that makes them feel good (Proverbs 27:6, Proverbs 28:23). The reason 2nd-marriage adultery (or any other sin) is so common in the church today is because so much of the church has stopped teaching and believing the hard truths of God's Word (2 Timothy 4:2-4, cf. Jeremiah 23:14,22,29).

Chrislam, false signs and wonders, 'love', 'respect'.

The beast which comes up out of the earth in Revelation 13:11-16 represents the individual man who will become the Antichrist's False Prophet (Revelation 19:20, Revelation 16:13). He could be a secretly-apostate pope who at some point during his tenure will make a great push for peace and unity between Christianity and Islam. He could say something like: "Why do we fight each other? Are we not all the spiritual children of Abraham and of his God, the one God? Can't we lay aside our foolish, man-made differences of theology, which have done us no good at all, but only brought us hatred and violence, and unite into one religion of Abraham, one religion of peace, based on love for the one God and love for our fellow man? What's more important than this?"

He could be so skillful in elucidating what the moderate Muslims could call "the true, peaceful, loving nature of Islam", that he could be hailed by them worldwide as (in their words) "a Great Imam, come to rescue our beloved Islam from the bad reputation falsely given to it by the terrorists". In this way, a pope could come to hold high positions of power in two religions at the same time, which could be symbolized by the 2 horns of the False Prophet lamb (Revelation 13:11). This would be similar to how the 7 horns of the true-Jesus lamb in Revelation 5:6 could represent the true Jesus holding 7 positions of power at the same time (cf. Jesus wearing many crowns at the same time in Revelation 19:12). The False Prophet could even say he is Jesus. (But he won't say he's Christ, for the False Prophet and the Antichrist will deny Jesus is the Christ, and will deny Christ is in the flesh: 1 John 2:22; 2 John 1:7.)

Once the False Prophet by his amazing miracles has brought the world under his spell (Revelation 13:13-18, Revelation 19:20), including many Muslims and Christians who may not care much for scriptural dogma, but could go wild over his signs and wonders, he could begin to (in his words) "restore to the world the real message which was spoken by me (Jesus) at my first coming, and by the great prophet Mohammed, but which message became corrupted by power-hungry men when they copied and changed the early manuscripts of the Bible and the Koran". He could then gradually initiate the world into the Antichrist's Gnostic Luciferianism (1 John 4:3, Revelation 13:4-6), a religion which could have existed since ancient times in some "mystery" cults, and which still exists today in the highest degree of initiation of a worldwide secret society. The False Prophet could present his miraculously calling fire down from heaven (Revelation 13:13) as purported proof that Lucifer (the dragon, Satan) and the Antichrist are the true God (Revelation 13:4-8, Revelation 12:9), in an inversion of how back in Old Testament times, Elijah miraculously called fire down from heaven to prove that YHWH is the true God (1 Kings 18:37-39).

In my view a dogmatic- Darwinist- evolutionary- view AND ALSO a dogmatic- literalist- biblical- view of our creation are both evidence of the "strong-delusion" that hinders mankind from understanding the character, nature and "eternal-vision" of our Father God in Heaven, and also of the Heavenly Host, of which our Creator hopes we will "all" be willing to be a part of someday in the eternity ahead of us all. [Any who would desire to be a disciple of Jesus as the Bereans were - should pray for "understanding" and then "wisdom" concerning 1Timothy 2:4 AND 2Peter 3:9]

A strong delusion occurs whenever ones “heart” is far removed from mentoring others with God's love, and His life strengthening prudence.
Or as "holy" scripture states, one has become non-empathetic and "hard-hearted" towards our Shekhinah Creator's plights in destroying the works of the devil in the earth, and also stiff-necked to not obey the "gentle" voice and leading of His Holy Spirit. [+]

PPS - - As written in the aforementioned gif file, what radically enlightened me to Beelzebub's powerfully enslaving “hatred” towards our Shekhinah Creator's vision for us all, was in the fact that the tallest pyramid that has ever been constructed by God's enslaved children was exactly 1.2 Greek Olympic “stadia” on each edge, which is exactly 1/10,000th the dimensions of New Jerusalem in Revelation 21. Also the pyramids in the Mid-East became tombs for ancient rulers who set themselves up as gods, and those in Central and South America became heinous platforms for innocent human sacrifices to occult demons who also set themselves up as gods. So let us pray for vision wisdom strength and courage and rise up and overcome evil with good as we would proclaim the simplicity of the Gospel of Christ Jesus, and thereby work alongside the Heavenly Host in a much greater way in annihilating the works of the devil in our earth. Well, ACJS,
I would have have to say the delusion is then the physical building in place of the "living" temple which is Christ himself.

There are two faults with analogies. One is when you avoid them. The other is when you don't separate the "tool" from the reality. The "tool" in Eph 2 is the word temple, but "living temple" should tell you that he didn't really mean a temple like something in Egypt, Rome or Jerusalem.

The letter of Hebrews is an elaborate 'weaning' from the tool / shadow to the reality, which he meant to say was long overdue.

That belief needs to cut across the doctrines of futurism. It is very hard to remain futurist and adopt what Hebrews is saying.

So why should we look up the link that tries to put the building in Rev in the same category? It was another temporary image.

The building in Revelation 11:1-2 wasn't a temporary image. Instead, Revelation 11:1-2, like Matthew 24:15, Daniel 11:31,36, and 2 Thessalonians 2:4, means there will be a literal, 3rd Jewish temple building in the earthly Jerusalem during the future tribulation of Revelation chapters 6 to 18 and Matthew 24. This 3rd temple will coexist with the church like the 2nd temple did (Luke 24:53, Acts 2:46, Acts 22:17) and like the temple building in heaven does (Revelation 11:19). The 3rd temple could be built on Jerusalem's Temple Mount by the ultra-Orthodox Jews after they (or great earthquakes) clear the site by destroying the Muslim Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque. Shortly after they build the temple, the Antichrist could attack and defeat them and a false Messiah leading them (Daniel 11:22).

Then the Antichrist could "cut" a peace treaty with them and their false "Messiah" (Daniel 9:26a, Daniel 11:23a), permitting them to keep the temple, and to continue to perform the daily Mosaic animal sacrifices in front of it, for at least 7 more years (Daniel 9:27a), so long as they give up the outer court of the temple (Revelation 11:2a) to the Muslims, so the Muslims can rebuild the Al Aqsa Mosque on the southern end of the Temple Mount and resume worship there. The ultra-Orthodox Jews could grudgingly agree to this, if the only other option is for them to lose the temple entirely. They could then build a high wall between the temple and the mosque, in order to keep the temple from being "defiled".

But then, only some 3.5 years after making the peace treaty, the Antichrist will break the treaty, attack the temple, stop the daily Mosaic animal sacrifices, place the abomination of desolation (possibly a standing android image of the Antichrist) in the holy place (the inner sanctum) of the temple (Daniel 9:27b, Daniel 11:31, Matthew 24:15), and then sit himself in the temple and proclaim himself God (2 Thessalonians 2:4, Daniel 11:36). Thus could begin the Antichrist's literal 3.5-year Luciferian (Satanic) worldwide reign of terror (Revelation 13:4-18, Revelation 12:9; 2 Thessalonians 2:9).

At the very end of the future tribulation of Revelation chapters 6 to 18 and Matthew 24, the Antichrist (Daniel 11:45) and the world's armies will pillage Jerusalem right before Jesus' 2nd coming (Zechariah 14:2-21). And at the 2nd coming there will be tremendous earth changes in the vicinity of Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:4-5). These events could result in all of Jerusalem's structures, including the 3rd temple and the Wailing Wall (also called the Western Wall), being broken down so that not one stone will be left on another (Luke 19:44, Matthew 24:2). Then the returned Jesus (Zechariah 14:4, Acts 1:11-12) will rebuild Jerusalem and make it the capital of the world (Zechariah 14:8-19, Micah 4:1-4). He will also build a 4th temple there (Zechariah 14:20-21, Zechariah 6:12-13). It will serve a similar function for the church during the future millennium (of Revelation 20:4-6) as the 2nd temple served for the church in the first century AD (Luke 24:53, Acts 2:46, Acts 22:17) and as the temple building in heaven (Revelation 11:19) serves for those in heaven (Revelation 7:15).

--

One reason the 3rd Jewish temple hasn't been built yet is the Israeli government is protecting the Muslim Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque (the 3rd-holiest buildings in Islam, right after those in Mecca and Medina), knowing that if the ultra-Orthodox Jews were to destroy these buildings in order to clear the Temple Mount for a 3rd Jewish temple, this could mean the end of the state of Israel. For enraged Muslim armies and militias could attack Israel en masse in an all-out jihad and defeat it completely. While the ultra-Orthodox Jews are no doubt aware of this danger, they believe the 3rd temple must nonetheless be built exactly where the prior temples stood: right over the Rock of Sacrifice (the Rock of the Dome of the Rock) on which Abraham almost sacrificed Isaac. And the ultra-Orthodox Jews could be brought to the point where they will even desire to see the end of the current, secular state of Israel, believing that only in its demise will God make it possible for them to establish a new, perfectly ultra-Orthodox, theocratic state of Israel.

Something that could bring the ultra-Orthodox Jews to this point would be them getting squeezed out of their settlements in Samaria and Judaea (also called the West Bank), and in East Jerusalem, as part of a peace deal handing these areas over to a Palestinian state. For the ultra-Orthodox Jews (rightly) see Samaria, Judaea, and Jerusalem as the historically most important and holy parts of the land promised by God to Israel since the time of Abraham (Exodus 32:13). So when they start to get squeezed out of these areas, in a rage they could suddenly mass in their tens of thousands, armed with machine guns (which they're allowed to have for self-defense against the Palestinians). And led by 3 huge bulldozers, they could march as a great army to the Old City of Jerusalem, and go up onto the Temple Mount and destroy the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque. (Or they could clear away their rubble if earthquakes have destroyed them by that time.)

Besides getting squeezed out of their settlements, something else that could tip the scales toward the ultra-Orthodox Jews in Israel becoming violent would be the rising up of a miracle-working, ultra-Orthodox Jewish false "Messiah" (cf. Matthew 24:24), who could tell the ultra-Orthodox Jews something like:

"God says that now is the time for us to take back religious control of the Holy Temple Mount, and rid it of all the detestable shrines which the Muslims have placed upon it. We are to sanctify it in the name of our God, so that we might rebuild His Holy Temple there. Listen, my brethren, fear not the Muslims' reaction when we retake religious control of the Holy Temple Mount. For God Himself is with us. He will protect us perfectly. Have I not shown you His mighty Power working through Me? Fear not any men, but fear only our Mighty God, who now commands us to rebuild His Holy Temple at the place He determined from the time of our Father Abraham. Our God gave us back the Holy Temple Mount way back in 1967 C.E. But what have we done with it over all the time since then? Nothing! How can this be? How can we have allowed some merely-secular, so-called 'Israeli' government invented by sinful men to keep us, God's holy people, from even setting foot back on the Temple Mount? Let us rise up, my brethren! Let us all rise up, in the name of our God, and let us do mighty exploits to the Glory of His Holy Name!"

Something else that could help tip the scales toward the ultra-Orthodox Jews in Israel becoming violent is their finding out the location of the Ark of the Covenant, which could be buried under an ancient ruined fort in the desert east of Jerusalem. The Copper Scroll could contain the clues as to where the Ark is buried in the fort (e.g. "under the third step"). The Ark could have been located there already with ground-penetrating radar by some non-religious treasure hunters, but the Israeli government could be holding up a digging permit to retrieve the Ark because the government is afraid the ultra-Orthodox Jews could see the discovery of the Ark as (in their words) "An unmistakable sign from God that now is the time for us to rebuild His Holy Temple". So the Israeli government has a motive to keep the location of the buried Ark top secret.

We need to return to square one regarding why God sends "error's working" (Delusions) in IIThess.2:11-12. :o

IIThess.2:10b, "because they receive not the agape (Not "love" in the English sense) of the truth, that they be saved." :amen: First and foremost one must grasp the concept of God's agape? Clue #1, ie, not touchy touchy, feely feely.

Next grasp what "truth" is? Good luck on this one???  Clue #2, ie, not what you think it is after scrutinizing the posts.

Old Jack now questioning myself, ;)

But the scriptures don't forbid a divorced man to marry a 2nd, single, non-divorced woman, as long as it was his first wife (whether an unbeliever or a believer) who divorced him. But then in God's eyes, he will be married to two women at the same time, which, while no scripture requires is a sin in itself, because it's not the best situation, it disqualifies him from taking any leadership positions in the church (1 Timothy 3:2,12), based on the basic idea of 1 Timothy 3:5.

Hello,

what scripture do you think of to support this remarriage exception, 1. Cor 7/27-28?

1 Corinthians 7:27-28 relates to virgins (1 Corinthians 7:25). I.e., if they're engaged to be married, they shouldn't break off the engagement (1 Corinthians 7:27a). But if an engagement has been broken off, they shouldn't be seeking somebody else to get engaged to (1 Corinthians 7:27b). But if they do, and end up getting married, it's not a sin (1 Corinthians 7:28a). It's just better to be celibate than have the trouble of being married (1 Corinthians 7:28b), so long as one can handle being celibate (1 Corinthians 7:32-38; 1 Corinthians 7:8-9).

What scripture do you think of here? There´s no scripture where a divorced man can remarry if the wife divorced him from my understanding.

Really; the thread has lost track of the question. Strong Delusion is the dealing with the people called by his name. Simply those that are tempted or offended for the word sake that believed for awhile fall away, have fallen from grace.

The strong delusion can only deal with false winds of doctrines caused by the corruptions and perversions injected into the gospel, ie...... the word of God.

Would you consider the Pre-Trib Rapture to be a "false wind of doctrine"?
