WHAT IS HELL?

(I response to Tariki's 94th post)

So far I like the meditation style of Zen the best. So as of now, Zen is my path to Dharma. However, I plan to give other sects a chance. :|
Ryoko,

Some people would argue against mixing "apples" and "oranges"...............personally I have always enjoyed a nice fruit salad!

There is also a little saying......."There are none so vain of their own religion as those who know no other." Possible true, and perhaps this would apply to the 84000 dharma gates...............we cannot possible taste them all, yet this is an exciting time for Buddhism in the West, being able to dip into all the various paths and means to enlightenment that have been tried and tested by millions over the past 2500 years.

You may have read a quote from the Christian Mystic Meister Eckhart..........one of my favorites that I have posted before......."They do him wrong who take God just in one particular way. They have the way rather than God." Knowing many ways of dharma helps us to avoid what a master once called "conceptual imitations of wisdom"..............and also to realise the full depth of the Buddha's words........."My teachings are for crossing over, not for holding onto."

Zen is not my choice, but I have made many dharma friends on the various Forums on the Net who do practice this dharma gate.

My best wishes!

To all:

I am not confusing any words such as "truth" or "reality"!! I do respect you as individuals who are entitled to your beliefs, no matter how lost they are. It is not a matter of my ego, because I have made my decison; I only want you all to make the same; its not about me, its about YOU.

I will not respect any false religions, such as Wicca/Paganism that are stealing the minds and souls of our youth. Or false religions such as Buddism, Hinduism, or Islam; that are deceiving millions around the world. If this offends you, I am sorry. The fact remains that no matter how much you scream, jump and yell that something is 'unfair' 'unjust' or 'narrow minded'; that is the way it is. God made one path to eternal life; one means of reaching Him--That means in Jesus Christ!!

Yes, I understand that no matter what *I* say, your minds will probably not be changed. For it is not up to *me* to open any hearts or minds. That work is reserved only for the Holy Spirit. Now you may not agree with me, you may not like me or what I have to say. But please understand this, I am not going to change my stance or stop correcting the false beliefs of this world. As long as I have breath and God gives me the words and the passion; I will continue to present, not just what I think is truth, but what is the TRUTH.

I was on the other side of the fence if you will. I studied other religions to include Wicca. I denied the existance of God and His Son Jesus Christ. I did not just wake up one day and say, "Hey, I want to be a Christian". I came slowly and with a million questions and doubts. But, God answered and affirmed every one of them.

As for Hell, yes I am well aware of the Universalist standpoint. I have argued this extensively on other forums. I admit they have some very convincing points, and I would love for them to be right!! But, Jesus taught/spoke so often of Hell that I cannot deny its existence and the eternallity of it. I pray this is one docrtinal issue I am incorrect about, but I cannot see any other avenue that is more convincing.

I do not hate any of you. I do not hate you because of your beliefs. I do however hate the religions you choose to follow, because I believe they will only lead to eternal Hell. Neither God nor any Christian wish for anyone to suffer eternally in Hell. God Bless You.

PEACE IN CHRIST!!!

You're not showing the respect to individuals that you claim to have.

If you are not confused about the meanings of words like truth, reality, and belief, then you must be intentionally misuseing them. In any case your credibility is sorely damaged and your witness is worthless since all you do is drive people away from your God.

You claim not to hate us but that is not what you show. Since your other claims are spurious and you display disrespect and hatred, we have no other choice but to conclude that what you say is not what is.

Am I to presume that you are the spokesman for all Wiccan/Pagans upon this forum? I thought not.

I speak for myself, but suspect others will agree with my assessment.

But to be fair to you, lets find out.

Does any other Pagan or Wiccan on this forum disagree fundamentally with my assessment of this person?

I'm not a Wiccan or a Pagan but I have to agree with much that Havoc stated.
Isaiah, you do come off a bit arrogant and angry.

And I feel hate in your words. You can call it, "Hate the Sin, Love the Sinner" all you want but the hate is there.

I 'think' I would be classified 'Pagan', regardless...
I agree. Hate is hate...
and what you worship is what you become.

There is no hell, but people sure would like there to be one. For others. All those nasty others. Never for themselves, of course.
o_O Why try to make it seem like Christians are selfish and want other people to go to hell?

Many people DO want others to go to hell. I, myself, have suffered an abusive incident this summer which for a time made me wish there WAS a hell.

Numerous people other than Christians believe in a hell too, BTW.
