Ah, but that's not really the message I want to send. As I said to one of my parish councillors today, we need to build a culture where we plan, and then actually do what we plan. :swoon:

Surprisingly quiet on CF this weekend (even without the usual crowd who only show up here while at work). Guess the rapture happened.

What are you saying :D heheheh.
Btw it was super quiet here yesterday.

Ha.

I've been very busy, but am popping in and out around various things in real life.

I have to write my annual report. I am happy to procrastinate about writing my annual report.

Yesterday a thought came to me, "Wonder where Paidiske is keeping house."

I was going to post it but I did not, thinking it was one of those "thoughts" and she

would pop up unexpected.

And Lo and Behold..........

Nothing remarkable about that for some, but in the world of non coincidence

a confirmation of sorts.

What is wrong with me, why I need to always stay up so late.
:yawn1:

I used to be like that when I was younger... as the years go by.. I go to bed earlier and earlier.

And then you get to a point where suddenly you are only good for a few hours and spend the rest of the night wandering aimlessly from room to room, or worse yet crashing at sunrise for the same couple hours but without the rebound of youth

You are not alone.

It has something to do with geography, and time differences.

It’s freakin dark here 24/7, Im waiting snow to fall so we can get some light. Im sure it affects sleeping cycle when it’s dark all the time

I used to be like that when I was younger... as the years go by.. I go to bed earlier and earlier.

Im older than you! :sorry:

Had no idea it was daylights saving time already.. happy it's the version where the weekend is slightly longer compared to slightly shorter..

EU votes to scrap clock change, two thirds of Sweden agree.

I love the long summer evenings with daylight savings, but it does mean when we come into winter and the clocks go back, and the mornings are dark, I struggle to get used to that!

It is disrupting, farmers do not lie it,they mean it upsets milking times.

How much then does it not upset us humans.

It gets darker for every day that passes, without messing about with clocks.

The weekend that passed one day it was dark at 5pm,

next day it was dark 4pm.

Huh?

Abolish the the whole idea.

The Jewish sabbath at least does not take a hit in the number of hours from sunset to sunset. Must be why DST and standard time occurs tonight

The Jewish sabbath at sundown takes a hit twice a year also.

Well, the sun knows it's time of setting, so today for example the sun set at 16:07 new time, but even if the clock had gone back two hours 15:07.

And Shabbos begins no later than 18 minutes before sunset,

So if the candles were lit and Shabbos was welcomed in it would be correct whatever
the world says the time is.

As far as I can tell at any rate.

I understand it can be awkward when the Sabbath begins early in the day, though, from the point of view of people managing to be home from study or work or having time to prepare?

Eh.. I think playing God and changing the time is fun.. and gives mankind a needed self esteem boost in false confidence.
