Is your dad still around or no?Sorry to hear about that. Does he have cancer?
Went through something similar with my father, I know how emotionally taxing it can be.
No he had a bad bout with kidney stones. My stepdad has esophageal cancer and is going through chemo right now to slow it down.

So glad to hear that. It can be exhausting for all. But any time you have is worth it if they are up for it.So, your husband will be fine? That's good.
Sorry to hear about your step father.
I do find these health incidents does help to appreciate others more. I've made an effort to be much closer to my father and not take him for granted. He came really close to death; the doctors were amazed the lived. I don't know how long I'll have him for, but the time I spend with him are much more precious now.
I’m so glad he pulled through. My step dad can’t keep the weight on. He is starting to look like he’s been in a concentration camp but the man is a fighter. He is not giving up.He's still alive. He had like less than 1% chance of living... most of the doctors said it's a miracle he's still alive. He has a rare blood disease and was in a coma for about a month.
He's doing ok now.. he isn't what he once was.. but he's like 80% back.

What type was he diagnosed with if you don’t mind me asking? My father was like that after he got out of the coma... his face was messed up too... but thankfully it readjusted. His mental capabilities have fully come back as well.
My father's disease is deadly but with modern treatment... he might still have an average life expectancy. The biggest hurdle I think is being diagnosed. Before he almost died most doctors didn't have a clue what was wrong with him. Now that they know, they know how to alleviate his symptoms. It's been two years since he almost died... and hes's been stable since.
Although I do fear that he could quickly deteriorate at any moment like he did before, but I just kind of live in the moment now.

I don’t know a lot about that. I’ll look it up.Vasculitis. Killed actress Janet Leigh.
Although I think most early deaths these days are due to being undiagnosed.
Oh dear.Vasculitis. Killed actress Janet Leigh.
Although I think most early deaths these days are due to being undiagnosed or being diagnosed too late. My father would probably be dead if his diagnosis came a little later.
You got me curious and I decided to look it up. Did you use this greeting? So apparently, I learned to say hello in Bhutanese properly (yay for the internet!)
It was a good meeting, I think. They have a fairly new migrant community here and are looking for space where they can offer social support in various ways for a few hours a week. Our church hall is available and we're happy to let them use it. It's just a matter of ironing out a few details, but I think that will be a good thing!
I was just reading up on the customs and practices of Bhutan thanks to you. That's the one!
You should really have it looked at.Still hurts. More stiff than last night.
You should really have it looked at.
Hoping it heals quickly! It is feeling better now. Think sleeping on it and it being the morning just caused some stiffness.
I really do not want to go to the doctor, lol. Taking ibuprofen and using a bag of ice.
