I'm happy to hear that!Glad that my stomach is starting to feel better.
Thinking the vocalists Peter, Paul and Mary should now be called Paul
Not gonna lie, I wonder what happens in the daily life of Protestant clergy since they don't (necessarily) have daily services and confession on a daily basis (at least in the US).The last few days have been pastorally busy; lots of people dealing with the fallout from family and church hurt over Christmas.
That's true, and every parish is different. Here, though, I have some sort of regular commitment every day except Tuesday. Not gonna lie, I wonder what happens in the daily life of Protestant clergy since they don't (necessarily) have daily services and confession on a daily basis (at least in the US).
That’s very interesting. Thanks for sharing. That's true, and every parish is different. Here, though, I have some sort of regular commitment every day except Tuesday.
Today, (Wednesday in Australia), I had two services and a community choir rehearsal. In between, I did a bunch of admin, prepared for a funeral on Friday, and wrote Sunday's sermon.
Workload is a perennial issue, but thanks be to God at the moment it's not too crushing. It will get busier as the year goes on.
One of my aunts died. I wasn't close to her but visited her at least a couple of times a year growing up She probably died a few weeks ago. Family and friends have been trying to contact her since then. For whatever reason police were not able to enter her home until today. She was found on the ground. According to police she looked peaceful like she was sleeping.
As far as I know she's still there. The funeral home is busy and cannot pick her up until later. As someone who is sensitive about how the dead are handled I wish this whole situation was done in a better manner.
I do wonder how common such huge delays happens when people die.

Sorry to hear your news MehGuy. But yes, how is it that things are getting so sloppy out there compared to days gone by. Perhaps greed has decreased availability of all services in order for fewer to profit more. As a result the whole system suffers..I do wonder how common such huge delays happens when people die.
Reminds me of what a college's cafeteria is named "the gag"I've been wondering why I live on Pancake Street. I mean, the house I bought is okay enough, but what a stupid name for a street.
I'm so sorry to hear that!I've been in a very bad.. "I can't even" mood lately.
Still work, that's all I've got left now. That is has been quiet on the forums for a while now. Does nobody go to work any more?
