Great question. In my opinion, this is where the theology of many Seventh-Day observers doesn't add up.

I already provided it twice, but I'll post it again.

We know the greatest commandment to love God with all our heart, mind and soul are directly came from the Ten Commandments. Jesus quoted from the OT when He quoted them.

Deut 6:5 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

What was being stated in the context for Jesus to repeat this? It was 40 years after God wrote and spoke the Ten Commandments. Moses was preparing the children of Israel to enter the promise land and repeated the Ten Commandments telling the children of Israel to diligently teach their children the commandments and their children's children to keep etc. which you can find in Deut 5 and right after repeating the Ten Commandments said the following

Deut 6:2 that you may fear the Lord your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged. 3 Therefore hear, O Israel, and [a]be careful to observe it, that it may be well with you, and that you may multiply greatly as the Lord God of your fathers has promised you—‘a land flowing with milk and honey.’

4 “Hear, O Israel: [b]The Lord our God, the Lord is one! 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

The second greatest commandment also comes directly from this unit of Ten on the commandments that deal with love to thy neighbor

Rom 13:9 9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” [a]“You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

I encourage you to study the greek and not isoalte one translation

Like when you said summed up in Rom 13:9 didn't mean summary yet the Greek showed that it did. I do not isolate one translation, I tend to look at the Greek and other translations as well. I do recommend through, not using a thought for thought translation because they take a lot of liberties that is not written in our Bibles. When I see a lot of commentary from posters they usually tend to use one of these translations instead of word for word.

It says: Deut 6:2 that you may fear the Lord your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments

God never gave a list of all the statues because there is not one law out there that would be broken if one was truly keeping the Ten Commandments, the way Jesus taught Mat 5:19-30 perhaps that's why God only numbered the Ten Commandments, so we know from God the emphasis is the Ten Commandments why its the only law both written and spoken by God and the only law inside the ark of the covenant that is also revealed in heaven. Heb 8:1-5 All the other laws were handwritten by Moses placed outside the ark. Its sad times when so many people refuse to accept God's personal Testimony, the Ten Commandments Exo 31:18 to be laid aside for essentially ones own laws and private interpretations . Jesus addressed this directly from the Ten Commandments so the grievances people have when they say for an example "Old Testament vacuum etc" that goes against what Jesus taught quoting OT to live by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God Mat 4:4 I am sure will be addressed at His Second Coming, We will be judged by the Ten Commandments and why its in God's Most Holy in His heavenly Temple under His mercy seat and why its revealed at the last trumpet Rev 11:18-19 right before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. We are not the first generation to reject God's commandments, its been going on for a long time. God is so longsuffering, hoping we will come out of our rebellion to Him as He calls on us daily not to rebel and harden our hearts to God's Truth. But people have itching ears and this all comes to an end soon enough and we will all have to live with our decisions Rev 22:11

What commandments was Paul quoting from verbatim Exo 20:1-17 and did he quote all of them from the same unit of Ten, no hence why he referred to other commandments not mentioned. Its hard to reason with the mindset "it could be" verses what the Scriptures are plainly teaching, but we do have free will.

Not keeping literally, so committing literal murder is fine as long as we love them. How many sick parents used this thinking when murdering their children or spouses.

No thanks, I will stick with what God says Exo 20:6 John 14:15 1 John 5:3 Mat 15:3-14 Mark 7:7-13 Mat 5:19-30 and His version of what is right and wrong Psa 119:172 Isa 56:1-6 because our version of what is right or wrong is as fifthly rags. Isa 64:6 and our hearts deceive us Jer 17:9

One thing I learned when researching Hebrews 13 is that when it says that the one who loves has fulfilled the law

the word translated as has fulfilled is in the perfect tense, a completed action

If you are looking for a verse that says we don't need to keep the Sabbath, it turns out that for the one who loves, it has already been kept

Love to God is keeping the commandments 1 John 5:3

According to Jesus not keeping the Sabbath, He considers this as profaning Him, His Words, not mine

Its not I love God, but can do what I want and disobey His law but because I love God that is fulfilling the law. No that is sin and disobedience 1 John 3:4 James 2:11-12 Rom 7:7 and dishonoring Him Rom 7:21-23 and being an enmity to God Rom 8:7-8 no matter how much we try to convince ourselves otherwise and according to Jesus ends with this result Mat 7:23.

But our heart can convince us of all kinds of crazy things Jer 17:9 No wonder why Jesus warned us about this very thing Mat 5:19-30 Mat 15:3-14 Mark 7:7-13

According to you and others, lets extrapolate your line of thoughts and throw away the bible and replace it it by a new bible that contains one page and one word, LOVE? Would that satisfy you? do you think that some elements might be missing? No one can change the laws GOD has given us, I am talking here of the Ten commandments, God gave them to us for a reason, Jesus was teaching them for a reason, Jesus even told us it is a requirement for eternal life.

Why not trust and love GOD and Jesus and obey their simple commands, the Ten Commandments that are the Covenant? Why do you fight so hard to nullify them even in part? DO you not believe GOD?
