I really enjoy VC's work.

Right now I'm reading Reformed Dogmatics by Hoeskema.

Ordered Communion with the Triune God by Owen and the new edition of Marrow of Modern Divinity by Fisher.

More Than Conquerors almost made the basket this time, maybe next...

:wave:As soon as I finish Packer's book. He discusses God sovereignty only as it applies to Evangelism.
The Protest Reformation is a great book with selected writings from Luther, Zwingli, Calvin and others.

Luther's The Freedom of a Christian Man, On Governmental Authority and six other writings.

Zwingli's Commentary on True and False Religion

Calvin's Reply to Sadoleto and Predestination from The Institutes of the Christian Religion

An easy read and one that I continue to pour over.

 The Protestant reformation by Hans J. Hillerbrand and Evangelism and the sovereignty of God by J. I. Packer.

Those are both good, especially Packers. I read it many years ago and loved it.

I finished Hieko Oberman's book. It was good and had some interesting insights. I am now reading Heresy by Alister McGrath.

On the lighter side, I am on book three of Susan Collins' Hunger Games trilogy.

The Plan of Salvation by B. B. Warfield. I found it fairly standard until the end when Warfield came out of the closet as a Universalist (of sorts). Have others read this book and, if so, what are your thoughts concerning his avowed Universalism?

Thanks.

I always like his view of Biblical "universalism" .... also his interpreatation of John 3:16 .

I read the book years ago , a very small thin book if memory serves.
