From the Trump supporters, I would like to know what good has he accomplished that was not on the back of what Obama had done?

Next, IYO would things have gone better if the Republicans had supported Obama as they demand everyone do for Trump?

Third, when you taxes go back up in 2 years, and your 401K goes to pot, will you still support Trump, or will you blame Democrats, and the poor?

The tax cut is not on Obama's back. Neither is the way the economy is running. (It may be that nothing Trump has done has really affected the economy, but the sheer optimism of business at the election of Trump and deregulation have had a positive effect.) The economy was strolling along at a tic above 1% annual growth, and now we're above 3%. I would say business's positive outlook because of President Trump is the reason unemployment has dropped even more under Trump.
I believe Republicans and Democrats, the real politicians, didn't believe Trump could get it done, and so they stuck with the status quo. It would have gone better had all the Republicans supported him, but one thing I see in Trump is that he knows how to pull things together, and he's doing it better now.
I don't believe taxes will go up in 2 years, and I don't believe 401K's will dump, either. Not that you shouldn't take some profits, and put them in less risky investments.

This shouldn't be as much about the Dems versus Reps like Americans are (made) used to.
It is about the deep state and / or shadow government and the power elite having gone too far for too long.
The roots of this go way back though.
Those [censored] are all friends behind the curtains.
And it is a world wide thing, not just USA.

The economy was growing slowly, but steadily, under Obama. How many months of job growth, now job growth is declining. Optimism does not create jobs. In fact, the new tax law of Trump actually incentivices corporations to keep their businesses off shore which will profit Trump himself. Did you know that in this new tax law there is a "loophole" that allows multinationals to avoid the new 10% tax on overseas profits if they invest in factories overseas?

I believe Republicans and Democrats, the real politicians, didn't believe Trump could get it done, and so they stuck with the status quo.

We still have the status quo. The rich got richer, and the poor are going to lose even more.

It would have gone better had all the Republicans supported him, but one thing I see in Trump is that he knows how to pull things together, and he's doing it better now.

I will bet you praised the Republicans for their opposition to Obama. However, Trump has made his fortune off cheating others, and he is doing the same now just on a grander scale.

I don't believe taxes will go up in 2 years, and I don't believe 401K's will dump, either. Not that you shouldn't take some profits, and put them in less risky investments.

Even conservative economists disagree with you. Per example:

POTUS did away with the Obama administration's plan to raise the Federal minimum wage for salaried persons, which saved my company a bunch of money. I was very pleased about that, and give him credit. But just for the record, I'm no fan of this POTUS nonetheless. Other than that the only thing POTUS' time in office has done to me personally is provide me with embarrassment for our nation and raise my blood pressure.

In other words, you are one of those who supports the idea of not paying workers enough so they do not have to apply for food stamps, medicaid, low income housing, LIHEAP, EITC, etc., and then expecting all others to grant you that subsidy to improve your profit line.

And that is why 2Cor. 8:13-15 is in my signature.

The word would be 'sluggishly'. How many months of job growth, now job growth is declining. [/quote]The U-6 number as of Jan 1, 2016 was 9.1%, the U-6 number as of Dec 31, 2017 is 8.8. The reported unemployment number at end of 2016 was 4.7, end of 2017 4.1.

You're darn right I did, because I don't believe in Obama's set of beliefs. You're dead wrong about Trump though. It's refreshing to have someone in the Oval Office who never ran for public office before, and does not stand to gain from his time there.

Mostly McDonalds. I read that, even on TrumpForce1, with all it's elegance, the common meal on there was McDonalds.

I have outgrown McDonalds and BK, but every so often it's easier to go into one. I like 5 Guys and we have In n Out. Habit Burger, I haven't tried.

Actually, you are quite wrong about that. First of all I work in a not-for-profit that provides services on a fee-for-service basis. Our fees come from .gov dollars. The reimbursements paid to us by the government are too low to cover the cost increase we would have incurred if the government's $42,000 new Federal minimum wage for salaried workers had gone into effect. So essentially, the government said, "you have to do this but we won't raise your fees so you can do this." Do you see the bind that puts me in as an employer?

This is why many doctors, dentists, and other health providers won't see Medicaid patients anymore. Reimbursements don't cover costs of doing business. I have one Medicaid rate that had not been changed from 2004 to 2017. But, I'm sure you would like me to have given employee raises each of those years. And how exactly could I possibly do that without risk of going to prison by printing counterfeit money in the basement?

I felt the same way the previous 8 years. I'm not a 'fan' of President Trump either. I'll wait and see. I voted for him, but he wasn't my first choice. Better than Hillary, though.

What is 'enough'? And who is the federal government to determine what 'enough' is? Secondly, 'enough' is drastically different in places like California and NYC.

Just to take the example, $42,000 in San Francisco will get you a studio apartment, or a 2 hour commute and a condo. $42,000 in Waco Texas will get you a home.
Secondly, I don't know too many government workers who would wind up on foodstamps and medicaid.

The word would be 'sluggishly'. How many months of job growth, now job growth is declining.

Are you going to blame that on Trump, or Obama? To give Trump the credit whiole blaming Obama is quite hypocritical.

But Trump is bragging that over 2 million jobs were created since he was elected, or inaugurated. However, corporations that he promised would create more jobs e.g Carrier, laid off over 500 workers. Walmart is laying off thousands. Other corporations are moving the Mexico. And Trump surely is not moving his manufacturing back to the US.

So much for "Buy America, Hire America" when Trump hires foreign workers for his hotels. golf courses, under the H1V programs.

You know who writes the tax laws? Congress.

And this Republican controlled Congress passed everything Trump asked for with no public hearings, no input from the Democrats, and no consideration for the middle class, or the poor.

The rich will always get richer, you can't legislate anything to stop it.

Christ addressed this as did the Founding Fathers, but it is obvious you don't believe either one.

But that doesn't mean the poor get poorer. A rising tide floats all boats.

This where i get myself into trouble, trying to address ignorance. Take a look around yourself. The poor are not getting "lifted", they are sinking, and have been for 35 years. Wages are stagnant, for the working class, and yet the wealth of the rich has quadrupled in the past 20 years. Just this last year 85% of the wealth created went to the 1%. And still those like Ryan, and McConnell want to cut programs for the poor. There is a recent report that came out about poverty in America, and it is not from Limbaugh, or The Heritage Foundation, that speaks of children with their teeth rotting out, dumpster diving for food, sleeping over at friends places so they can get a dinner, and the list goes on.

I am sorry I cannot give you compassion, and evidently neither can Christ.

You're darn right I did, because I don't believe in Obama's set of beliefs.

Do you believe in those that Christ taught?

You're dead wrong about Trump though. It's refreshing to have someone in the Oval Office who never ran for public office before, and does not stand to gain from his time there. Yeah, Republicans don't like him, but they're coming around, too.

It is "refreshing" to see how many claim to be followers of the word of God who can then support, and defend, one who is a pathological liar, made his fortune stealing from others by not paying them what he agreed to pay, is a serial adulterer, womanizer, and sexual harasser, and a coward.

"And Jesus wept" And then you wonder why groups like ISIS, The Army Of God, MS 13, etc. are rising, or even that one like the abortionist Tiller "the baby killer", are rising.

Romans 1: 20-32

“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”

Used to be a place like that in Lewiston Idaho I used to stop at when passing through. Always enjoy a good hamburger. Hamburger doesn't taste the same as it did when I was kid though.

Just curious.

Why is it that people seem to assume that there were only two candidates? Is it because the media did not report it? Is it because the Evangelical "community" supported a lying coward? Just what was it that persuaded so many to vote for liars, and thieves, when honest people with real Christian beliefs were in the running?

I had the choice of voting for one of two corrupt "human beings", or voting for one of two honest Christians, Darrell Castle, or Evan McMullin. I chose Castle.
