The word would be 'sluggishly'. How many months of job growth, now job growth is declining.

The U-6 number as of Jan 1, 2016 was 9.1%, the U-6 number as of Dec 31, 2017 is 8.8. The reported unemployment number at end of 2016 was 4.7, end of 2017 4.1.
But Trump is bragging that over 2 million jobs were created since he was elected, or inaugurated. However, corporations that he promised would create more jobs e.g Carrier, laid off over 500 workers. Walmart is laying off thousands. Other corporations are moving the Mexico. And Trump surely is not moving his manufacturing back to the US.
So much for "Buy America, Hire America" when Trump hires foreign workers for his hotels. golf courses, under the H1V programs.
You know who writes the tax laws? Congress.
And this Republican controlled Congress passed everything Trump asked for with no public hearings, no input from the Democrats, and no consideration for the middle class, or the poor.
The rich will always get richer, you can't legislate anything to stop it.
Christ addressed this as did the Founding Fathers, but it is obvious you don't believe either one.
But that doesn't mean the poor get poorer. A rising tide floats all boats.
This where i get myself into trouble, trying to address ignorance. Take a look around yourself. The poor are not getting "lifted", they are sinking, and have been for 35 years. Wages are stagnant, for the working class, and yet the wealth of the rich has quadrupled in the past 20 years. Just this last year 85% of the wealth created went to the 1%. And still those like Ryan, and McConnell want to cut programs for the poor. There is a recent report that came out about poverty in America, and it is not from Limbaugh, or The Heritage Foundation, that speaks of children with their teeth rotting out, dumpster diving for food, sleeping over at friends places so they can get a dinner, and the list goes on.
I am sorry I cannot give you compassion, and evidently neither can Christ.

You're dead wrong about Trump though. It's refreshing to have someone in the Oval Office who never ran for public office before, and does not stand to gain from his time there. Yeah, Republicans don't like him, but they're coming around, too.
It is "refreshing" to see how many claim to be followers of the word of God who can then support, and defend, one who is a pathological liar, made his fortune stealing from others by not paying them what he agreed to pay, is a serial adulterer, womanizer, and sexual harasser, and a coward.
