Believe it or not, I do have a life outside of CF ;) :p

So would that mean that, if you're gone for several hours, it's unreasonable for anyone to start posting "I guess he doesn't have an answer," "He obviously has no evidence," or other sage observations like that? ^_^

No way around it? There is a way around it, because you are assuming something is happening that is not happening.

The comparison that I offered is dead on accurate. By the way still waiting for a rebuttal of my posts 80-81.

I am not assuming anything. We all saw the picture. We all saw the Bible verses in Exodus that liken bowing to something to worship.

You know I already replied to that. The fact that you don't like my reply is irrelevant.

I am not assuming anything. We all saw the picture. We all saw the Bible verses in Exodus that liken bowing to something to worship.

Gen 23:7 Abraham rose up, and bowed down to the people of the land, to wit, the children of Heth:
23:8 And said to them: If it please your soul that I should bury my dead, hear me, and intercede for me to Ephron the son of Seor.

Was Abraham worshipping the people of the land here?

Gen 33:3 And he went forward and bowed down with his face to the ground seven times, until his brother came near.
33:4 Then Esau ran to meet his brother, and embraced him: and clasping him fast about the neck, and kissing him, wept.
33:5 And lifting up his eyes, he saw the women and their children, and said: What mean these? And do they belong to thee? He answered: They are the children which God hath given to me, thy servant.
33:6 Then the handmaids and their children came near and bowed themselves.
33:7 Lia also, with her children, came near and bowed down in like manner; and last of all, Joseph and Rachel bowed down.

Was Jacob worshipping Esau in this passage?

I can go on and on, this just a few from Genesis.

Bowing or kneeling before someone isn't always adoration or worship. In most cases it is a sign of one's respect for the authority or position of the whom they are bowing to.

So the question is then: Do you truly have the ability to judge what is in those people's hearts? Can you boldly judge whether these people are honoring Mary or worshipping her. If you think that kneeling or bowing is always a sign of worship, then you have a slew of Protestants out there that are also idolaters.

When? What post? I haven't seen any reply from you accept you aren't going to reply. That is fine just admit you can't defend your position and we will move on. But please stop dangling a no response out there.

I only call it out when...well there is no reply. There needs to be some posting etiquette that we should follow right? If not it all goes to chaos, and the devil wins.

I see it as Christians overthrowing their pagan oppressors in a revolt, not murder, as I have said.

Then, simply put, you're wrong--in every conceivable manner you're wrong, and you are defending murder out of spite toward a group of Christians with whom you happen to have theological quibbles with. There is no reasoning to be done.

Purgatory and the Immaculate conception and the rosary, I went to google images and type in "Mary worship" and there were like 20 people bowing to a statue of Mary it freaked me out.

Thank God for the Reformation :)
MAry worship is not a Catholic practice. Thank God for knowledgeable Catholics.

So... Lutherans, Catholics and Calvinists are all pagans because someone was always trying to overthrow them; burning them at the stake willy-nilli?

Makes perfect sense to me!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::clap::clap::clap:

Is it a huge error when people bow out of respect to the queen of England? (Most of them are Protestant who do so.) Or any other king in their country? And yet the woman who gave birth to OUR salvation, deserves no respect?

It must also be a grave sin for me to bow to my Japanese bosses and my companies Japanese President; they bow to me also, they, and we must be sinners all; wait, we are!;)

So you think the worldly is greater than the heavenly. Got it.
this makes no sense.. The statue is not heavenly. It is a graven image.
Wonder what the ratio of Mary statues is compared to statues of Jesus in Roman Catholicism.

Catholic view of statues

I am asking this question purely out of clarification and curiosity. I promise to only ask questions and answer questions if I am asked any. ;)

I work in a Catholic school as a state employee, so sometimes questions pop up.

I'm curious to know how Catholics view religious statues, praying before them and such? There seem to be so many.

Those are not examples of people bowing to statues. Next.

You saw it and even complained about it. Get over it.

But do Protestans call her the "Queen of Heaven" "Co redemreix" and do they pray to her for intercession?Didnt think so
