What is the true essence of the Sabbath and what does it mean to "Rest"?
To make this simple enough, I'll present my interpretation using simple elementary numbers from our own base number set, 0 to 9.
Put on your thinking caps: the Sabbath was established in Creation on the Seventh day as a Holy Covenant for humankind. Both male and female were included as the Commandment was given to the ONE man who was Created on day_6, who were both, male and female as Esau and Jacob were two nations in ONE WOMB.
The man and woman were made after the Sabbath Rest of the day that followed their Creation. God gave them the Commandment while they were still in ONE BODY so that both will know and understand the Times and Law of God. This would leave both male and female without excuse to sin.
The meaning of the "Rest" can be illustrated with numbers based on the days of Creation. Scripture says this: Gal 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.."
How would one explain this? Let's do some simple math to illustrate this:
man is number 6 by Creation, the woman was MADE on day_1 just the same as Mother Earth, depicted as a woman.
So, man is 6 and woman is 1 and when we add them together we end up with a spiritual amalgamation of both male and female EQUATED in Christ Who is 7, for it is the Son of God Who Created the Sabbath Day Rest for both male and female before they became the Man and Woman who were MADE on the first day of the second week following the close of Creation. Man and woman were designed to be together, the woman was not designed to be alone, let her be covered by her husband just as Christ is the head covering of man who is the woman's head covering; there's an Order to follow. Jesus told satan to get behind Him, Jesus was saying in His dialect for satan to get back in Order.
Math: 6+1=7.
When the pair are Equated in Obedience to the Sabbath Covenant they REST as 7 Glorified and are no longer seen apart as nakedness, 6 and 1. They become Joint heirs in Eternal REST, which is Life in Christ. This Sabbath "Rest" is perpetual in God's Spirit, never departing from Him as Adam and Eve had done. Shall we fall again each and every week after Sabbath Service is over?
Or shall we REST in an Eternal Covenant with our Maker? The Spirit is quenched when you drive away from your Church. Though there may be only weekly services, we should continually fear God in all that we do and meditate in our wake hours. The true essence of the Rest is not understood by the majority or maybe none but the point that I make is to be in a continual Covenant with Christ so that we always Equate in Him by obedience and that obedience is commanded us in the Genesis Record that the world has trampled under foot and blaming only the man Adam for the fall, when all along it's the woman who transgressed.
Numbers make a covenant when added together, i.e. 6+1=7 and this is the nature of God and so spirits behave in the same like manner when joined together in God's Covenant. This is how they REST in ONE Christ.
The Law of Magnetism is God's Law, it perfectly illustrates God's Perfect Will for both Male and Female, Man and Woman, and ALL of the Universe. It is us who are reversed in thinking and in opposition to God.
If you compare our behavior today, you'll discover that our human race is in violation to this Law. Study the Law of attraction and opposition using magnets. We humans were designed to follow the same Law that is in ALL of Creation.
We are in violation to the Creation Account and our transgressions has affected the entire Universe. When we are finally corrected in our minds, we will see Heaven once again when the Lamb will lay with the Lion, and there will be no "Rust" there either as it is a world of correct Polarity.
