***I know about the compassion that is pleasing to God. It is indicated in Philippians 2:1-5 and 1 Corinthians 13-14. I have experienced all of the Gifts and Fruit of the Spirit. But God-given abilities are important to. But the Bible says in several places that God hates religion. Most special music in by choirs, worship teams, and solos are not pleasing to God because of selfish motives for impressing the audience instead of God. And the Bible doesn't speak about winning as you indicate. Most pastors and denominations are set in their traditions. God hates such. Most of them hate those who do independent Bible teaching and Biblical Counseling.

for God and for back-to-the-basics
You seem determined to do as you desire, so go and do what is in your heart and may God lead you and speak to you as you do, may His peace go with you. I would say, focus not on the people and the faults or lack, but on God and the Love He has for them and serve them that are in need.

But God does not hate them. His desire is not that we abandon those are are only children in their behavior but that the mature in Him gently instruct and serve them to make them strong. Gifts are great, but Love and serving are more important where people are giving a bad example and living sick and hungry (especially within the church).

I am for what God loves and I hate what He hates. He and I don't condemn the individuals involved.

***The Apostle Paul wrote a lot of verses that indicated Holy Spirit urged discerning/warning judging.
And check what 1 Corinthians 6:1-11 says.
I look for the good in others and in churches,
but The Holy Spirit helps me to realize wrongs and sins to at least do intercessory prayer about.
Sometimes I have to exhort or even rebuke.
Some have responded with a rebuke against me accusing me of condemn judging.
I have never done the just mentioned.
Matthew 7:1 “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” has been misused so much by individuals
who don't want to repent towards Christ-likeness righteousness
and some of the famous Christian leaders have threatened those who oppose their teaching and life styles.
Constructive criticism is not a judging sin.
If one looks at the context of Matthew 7:1, he or she will discover that it does not apply
to what is said above about judging
and to the following statements.
True Christians will not condemn judge, but they will discern right and wrong judge so they
can do proper intercessory prayer
and do Holy Spirit urged exhortation or rebuke as
Jesus Christ, the Apostle Paul, and many Christian leaders have done in the past.
For the much needed church discipline to take place the discerning judging needs to be done.
Also the Bible is full of warnings about unrighteous actions and teaching being done
and such require discerning judging.
There is too much tolerance of wrongs in the Christian churches and in society.
But extreme carefulness must be done in the indicated exhorting and warning ministries.
A pastor cannot even do such without making judgments
about what Scripture to teach and how to teach it.

I have done that literally in SDA churches. Mother Teresa didn't have the same calling as I have as a teacher of God's Word.

I value time because I should have died in a April 2002 auto accident down an Idaho cliff. So since then I have sought to do fulltime ministering. I used to love game playing during my childhood, but now it seems we are in the ending of the Age of Grace and the World is worsening so fast because of lack of knowing God's desires. So for the last 15 years I have been doing the For Sharing Truths ministry, mostly via the Internet.
We all have the calling to serve and lead by example and Love. We can not expect to go into a community and rise to the top of it in a moment. Elders bishops teachers and pastors are appointed by the assembly and Spirit those who have shown to serve well and been seen as blameless... this takes time and service. Be the person quick to do the small jobs and be humble and love .... serve more and more will be given.

You clearly know the rules my friend, I am just saying that to win others over and be a leader they must know you as a loving servant of Jesus first. Let the established leaders lead and with humility and respect first be known to all by your love gentleness compassion and grace and all the rest will fall into place. The peace of the Lord Jesus the Anointed one be with you.

Time is not God's concern my friend. He does not need us to finish any work or to save anyone, He alone holds that. One waters one plants but only God makes it grow. You have done it in many churches in the past now find a place to start serving again & let them get to see your love and service. Make the most of your time to be a servant and God will reward your sincere effort in the Faith. :)

***You made false assumptions!!! I have been serving and pleaseing others most of my life. Have you? And most bishops and pastors were not called by God. God was never for denominationalism and Roman Catholicism. He was for house meetings as indicated in the first part of Acts.

What does a God-pleasing church include?
What kinds of worship and preaching are pleasing to Abba Father?
I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God— this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is— his good, pleasing and perfect will. Rom 12:1,2

a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." John 4:23,24

the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men. Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. Rom 12:17-19

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Heb 13:16

I have been condemned by others. It really hurts when it done by church leaders and loved ones. Did you know that there is more slander, gossip, and hate in churches than in politics or sports?

2 Timothy 3:5 is the hardest command for me to obey. Many many times I have kept trying to reason with a mixed-up or mis-informed individual past the urgings of the Holy Spirit, because of my soft "heart" and compassion for him or her. The hardest of that was recently with my former wife. So many "have a form of Godliness, but deny the power thereof". It took me until now to move on. I had to leave Nigeria on November 9, 2016. But now I am fulltime again doing ministry, mostly via the Internet. Please pray for me daily. The spiritual enemy doesn't like those who are sharing God's wonderful truths, wisdom, and concerns.

Yes my friend. God's Spirit in Jesus is Love and service for His children especially those who are weak, from beginning to end, this is a needed priority. It was near the end of Jesus' life here He demonstrated the need to wash one another's feet. We need this more than anything now more than ever.

Where is it happening? Only after tragedies? And I think that only in the SDA churches are they doing literal footwashing every quarter of the year.

Be at peace and please do not get so angry. I am not making any assumptions and my service is not in question. What I have done God knows and is not subject for a contest. Regardless who was called by God we must help a sick church before wanting to be allowed to rise up in a church group somewhere among believers who do not even know us yet. These are encouragements and exhortations not accusations and coming in a bad Spirit. Be at peace you are not being attacked.

No one is talking about literal foot washings or the SDA. The example and words, however, have valid meaning and should be followed Bill.

Consider the walk on the road to Emmaus. Jesus disguised Himself from the disciples, opening up the Scriptures to them along the way and finally revealing Himself in the breaking of the bread that night. And about the bread, recall what He said about it on the night of the Last Supper: this is my body.
And yet "the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit" It's not about worshiping a piece of bread - a material thing. It's not about making statues and praying to them. Making crucifixes and kissing them. Such things are idolatry. And it's not about a material building or physical location, as Jesus said to the Samaritan woman.

"a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."

Rules? And each religion has expectations of who is truely saved and procedures they must do. And I am not trying to stop any established leaders. I pray a lot for them because so many of them are misleading people away from becoming Bible students and living Christ-like. Most churches are just trying to be people friendly. They are not doing the Great Commission of teaching. Ephesians 4:11-16. And then there are so many false prophets now. I think we are in the ending of the Age of Grace. That is why I am so concerned about current Christianity in churches.

I cannot read you mind. And after the famous literal foot washing, Jesus said "The World will know you are My disciples because of your unselfish divine love for one another." (my translation).

You are in my heart and prayers. Remember not to become hardened and do not give up assembling... seek God and trust Him to give you a place to do so physically as well. Begin with Love and service there and much prayer where there are wrongs being done more than with words at first. Serve and Love. Remember also that we are not the ones responsible for others salvation or correction ultimately and words are more than from our mouth. Many are deeply wounded and misguided or corrupt, it just requires a lot of washing with the water to cleanse.... love peace gentleness grace.... Speak against clear sins for sure adultery abuse slander... but do so gently and with much grace and Love first and foremost.

I empathize with your heart and feelings versus all that is wrong, but you are clearly troubled and should seek peace even while concerned and pray over these things in your heart. Focus less on the problems and more on the one who is already victorious over them & responsible for them, Who is Just and Gracious. We won already. Your concern and heart and prayers you are giving are much appreciated as is your Faith and service. Do not be overwhelmed by what you see or hear or experience, it is all finish, just continue to serve.

What is that? Even Orthodoxy is divided about what Liturgy to use and what is wrong with just straight careful teaching of God's Holy Word with emphasis for New Testament living?

So is that to say the liturgy is not pleasing to God?

Thanks, Dee. It is a miracle that my "heart" is not hardened. God has kept it soft. After the upsets in my life, I never got angry at Him. I just reassessed the happenings looking for mistakes I might have made, did any needed confessing, and looked forward to Romans 8:28 blessings. Several times I was so discouraged that I felt that I should pretend to be Catholic and become a monk to only study the Bible. But God had called me to be a teacher for the Great Commission. So you know why this discussion is so important for me. God has had me exposed to many kinds of churches, religions, and even some cults in order for me to be understanding of all who contact me. I have been doing the Internet ministering for 15 years. Thank you for praying for me. I need such every day.

So is that to say the liturgy is not pleasing to God?
That is not the case. What is pleasing to God is what is given sincerely from a pure heart.... those who worship in this way are pleasing to God... anything beyond God will lead us into in His time and way. If you or any worship and praise Him sincerely and in Spirit He has accepted your praise and worship.
